For the next two weeks Gravesend Market will be exhibiting four artists work. I was particularly impressed with these pastels by Paul. The photos are terrible but the paintings are fantastic, in fact they are so good we all thought they were photographs.

Open Call for Gravesham Artists

'Take a Look' will take place at St George’s Arts Centre from 5 – 27 March featuring 2D artworks from artists living or working in Gravesham.

We are inviting artists to submit up to three pieces of work for consideration including, but not restricted to, painting, drawing, print and photography. This exhibition is only open to those aged 18 or over.

Email no more than three artworks, one image for each piece (restricted to 1MB per image) to [email protected]
Include your full contact details, title of each piece, size, medium and price if selling. A 30% commission fee will apply to all sales.

Important information:
Submission deadline is Monday 14 February 5pm
If successful you will be notified by Friday 18 February
Selected artwork must be hand delivered to St George’s Arts Centre from 22nd – 27th February during opening hours.
Full terms and conditions of entry will be sent to successful submissions.

I hadn't made any pottery for ages but was recently involved in a project with Colony: A Community of Artists We each made a linocut and pressed them into a clay tablet. These will now be bisque fired and possibly painted and fired again. I had a bit of clay left over so made a cat which will probably go into Colony's exhibition in October.

I see I've had a lot of views over the past few days, so thought I had better post something new. Here's a clock that I'm making at college, unfortunately I couldn't finish it because of the coronavirus, 3 flower pots that were a commission, and finally my new hobby of felting.
