Thought I’d give an update on my weight loss journey, been really busy the past couple of months, but I’m down from 147kg (23.1 stone) to 118.8kg (18 stone 10 pounds)

Sorry I haven’t posted anything in a while, haven’t been in a good head space, but thought I’d share an update as I’m officially at the end of recovery from my operation. I’m not gonna lie, I’ve absolutely hated every moment of this process, I’ve been in pain, new allergies, and I don’t enjoy eating like I used too; but, I’m seeing the results, I’ve gone from 147.0kg to 128.2kg (23.1st to 20.2st). My tops have gone from 4XL/3XL to 2XL. My total weight loss: 2.9 stone since July, and 4.2 stone since January. Thanks to all my family and friends for their support during this literal highway of hell.

Day: 16
Had a weigh-in today with my GP surgery and I’m now at 137.0kg (fully clothed), about 21 stone, 8 pounds; it’s less than last week but it’s still an improvement, haven’t been down to this weight since before Covid.

A little update from my gastric bypass surgery last Wednesday, so far I’ve gone down from 147.0kg to 138.1kg; I’ll try and update people weekly on my progress, still in a lot of pain, and on liquid diet, which is horrible, really craving a cheeseburger 🍔

It’s finally happened, sorry I haven’t updated anyone sooner, been in a lot of pain but I’m being well looked after at Lewisham Hospital following my Bariatric Bypass Operation this morning, got a long road to recovery yet but I’m feeling better and can’t wait to go home on Thursday 😊

So I’ve decided to deactivate my Twitter (X) account and take down my website :(
This is the first in a number of moves I am planning over the next few weeks. I have deactivated my X account for several reasons, most of which are around the usage of Generative AI on the platform; how the platform is used by various companies, and the overall negative impact on creativity and the industry. On a personal note, there is a constant pressure to post work online and I’ve decided to start doing this on a smaller regular scheduled scale but only on curtain social media platforms. I am also planning on removing Pinterest and will be revising my website over the next couple of weeks, as I’m frustrated with paying for a platform that I’m not using.
My website will also be down from today as well for maintenance and a complete overhaul.

It’s official, after six years of hard work, I have finally achieved my goal of reaching one of the highest levels in my education and achieved a MA in Visual Communications with a Distinction.
All I can say is thank you to everyone for your support, to staff and my peers at both Folkestone College and the University for the Creative Arts, this wouldn’t have been possible without your ongoing support.
It feels like the end of an era, but I know that this is probably only a new beginning.
