It looks like it's going to be gorgeous weather, so make the most of it!

Once you’ve made contact with one of our Referral Partners, they will email your requirements to the Baby Bank detailing the items that you need as well as some basic information such as:

A due date for baby
Gender of the baby or child
Age of the baby or child
Nappy/shoe/clothes size

This is to ensure that we are packing age and gender appropriate items.

We are not able to access your details beyond this, and your contact point remains with the Referral Partner.

We are given a date that they would like to pick these items up from us, which gives us enough time to sort and pack this for you.

Love a biscuit shop for our volunteers thanks to Alpine Heating.

Obviously the choice of biscuits for our tea break is high priority and we have to cater to all of our volunteers.

Our tea breaks are quite important, aside from the tea and obviously biscuits, but its a great chance to have a catch up with the volunteers and make sure everybody is up to date with everything going on.

We recently posted about the amazing donation of 17 pallets of nappies, and then we realised that to house that amount of nappies was going to be a bit of a challenge.

Always up for a challenge, we put out a plea to see if anybody local could help us store these.

Luckily Browns came to the rescue through Common Good, and these are now nicely stored in a location close to the unit which is a win win situation for us. We had accepted that we would only be able to take half of the donation, but Browns have been very generous and allowed us to take the full amount.

Thank you so much to Browns for allowing us to use this space. The community spirit between businesses at the moment is amazing, and something that we’re thankful for on a daily basis.

It’s not every day you take a call asking if you want 17 pallets of nappies!

Obviously we jumped at the chance!

These are newborn and size 1 nappies which are our most requested size, and we regularly run out of them.
