We were treated to a bonus "We Animate on Tues" this week, with a private viewing at the Bill Douglas Cinema Museum and talk focusing on their latest collection "Beyond the Samurai: An Introduction to Japanese Cinema" with a particular focus on anime, and its influence on western cinema and animation

Thanks again to Natasha and Sarah for their hospitality, passion and knowledge sharing, we feel particularly privileged to have had the opportunity to visit as a community of visual artists

For those unfamiliar with the museum, it is situated within the grounds of University of Exeter, and is one of the largest collections of material on the moving image in Britain. Heads up, the folk at Animating Devon are hiring for two wonderful creative roles in Ilfracombe!

They are looking to fill two part-time roles - a Lead Trainer and an Assistant Trainer - to run and be part of a new term time weekly visual arts club for 7-11yrs in Ilfracombe, called Ani-Mates.

2.5-3 hours a week in term time.

Animating Devon was formed as a means to develop and promote animation education, skills and employment in the region.
