This year we will be celebrating all our finishers and participants of the Summer Book Quest on Sat, 5th September with a morning of fun with the Library and Theatre Alibi.
We have had a great summer of reading so come along even if you haven't found time to join the Summer Book Quest and maybe get inspired with some Autumn reading.
Theatre Alibi will be having their great Pop-Up Play Cafe - loads of toys, our lego table, some great craft, some great tunes AND a Monster Treasure Hunt around the whole of Emmanuel Hall AND magical, musical, puppet-ty story telling!
No need to book - just put the date in your diary and come along - we will also give out the prizes for all the games over the summer.
Thanks so much to the Friends of St Thomas Library Group who are funding the morning for us as well as Theatre Alibi who are joining us for this and are launching their activities for October Half Term so come and find out what they are planning!

We had a fabulous time making our mural on what will surely be the messiest of our Messy Thursdays.
We filled the steadily unrolling reel of paper with handprints, pen swirls, action art spatters, Peppa stickers, leafy impressions, glittery rainbows and trains, and a few brightly coloured paint people.
It was a whole lot of fun and the whole dazzling masterpiece is now up on the wall for all to admire. Well done to all our artists - you've collectively created something really amazing (and really BIG!).
If you like this come along for our last session this summer and make yourself a pet rock!

So this is my 'Kat is in Spain' post, I am deserting the love world of St Thomas to (hopefully) see the eclipse in Northern Spain so I thought what a great opportunity to highlight books about Spain!
All available from St Thomas Library .. now I asked around for this so I have only read 'The Fountains of Silence' by Ruta Sepetys - so many out of ten - and Laurie Lee - a great book but I have on good authority that the others are very good too!
There’s still time to join The Summer Book Quest! 🏝️🥇
