We are delighted to share that Holly Anderson has taken on the role of Chief Executive Officer at Intercom this June.
Holly has been part of Intercom for nearly two years as Operations Manager, where she has made a lasting impact during a significant period of change. Throughout her time here, she has brought compassion, thoughtful leadership, and a deep commitment to the people and communities we serve. Her understanding of Intercom is rooted not only in her role, but in the relationships she has built and the care she brings to every aspect of the organisation.
With a strong background in the voluntary sectorโparticularly in equality, diversity, inclusion, and community-centred practiceโHolly leads with both purpose and empathy. She has seen first-hand the difference Intercom makes and carries that insight into her vision for the future.
As we move into this next chapter, Holly is committed to strengthening and nurturing what already makes Intercom special, while continuing to grow and evolve. Her focus will be on deepening accessibility, reaching those who face the greatest barriers to support, and ensuring our services remain shaped by the voices and experiences of the communities they exist for.
Weโre excited for what lies ahead and feel confident that, under Hollyโs leadership, Intercom will continue to grow with care, integrity, and connection at its heart.
Holly said:
โIโm incredibly proud to become CEO of Intercom Trust at such an important time. Our work has never mattered more, and Iโm committed to ensuring we continue to reach and support those who need us most. Iโm looking forward to continuing to work alongside our staff, partners and communities to ensure we remain a vital and inclusive service for those who rely on us.โ
Simon Hill, Chair of the Board of Trustees, said:
โWe are delighted to announce Holly as CEO of The Intercom Trust. Over the past two years, she has shown clear leadership, commitment, and vision, and has the full confidence of both the board and staff. Hollyโs appointment also marks an important moment for the organisation as its first female CEO. As CEO, she will lead the Trust with strength and purpose as we look ahead to our 30th anniversary in 2027 and beyond.โ

Consortium's Statement on the EHRC Code of Practice:
Consortium acknowledges the publication of the updated EHRC Code of Practice and, as the national infrastructure organisation supporting LGBT+ communities across the UK, we are taking time to consider what this means in practice. We know this will be a difficult and unsettling time for many of our members and networks, and that the impact will not be felt evenly across our communities.
At this stage, we need time to properly understand whatโs changed and test this with our communities and legal professionals. We will reflect alongside our members and networks so that what we do next is informed, collective, and grounded in both legal understanding and lived experience.
The Code will require careful scrutiny, particularly in how it shapes practice for the diversity and intersectionality of organisations we support and partner with. Our starting point will always be a commitment to the full protections of the Equality Act 2010 and helping others to understand that being trans inclusive is allowed and a positive thing.
Equality does not create second class citizens or seek to erase people from public life. We will continue working to ensure human rights are applied with dignity, fairness and equality upheld for all.
We will return with a fuller and more considered response once we have had the space to work through the implications together.

Happy ! ๐ค๐ค๐ Agender Pride Day was first observed in 2021, making it one of the most recently established LGBTQ+ Pride days. It has since been used as a day to both celebrate the agender community and educate others about what this rarely discussed identity entails.
๐ To be agender means not identifying as any particular gender. Agender people distinguish themselves from the traditional binary of male and female โ or even from other non-binary or genderqueer identities. Agender is also called genderblank, genderfree, genderless, gendervoid, non-gendered, ungendered, or null gender.
๐ Agender people can have any preference for pronouns, although some prefer to avoid using gendered language about themselves as much as possible. They can also present in any way - masculine, feminine, both or something completely beyond the binary.
๐ The Agender Pride flag consists of seven horizontal stripes: black, grey, white, green, and then white, grey and black in return.
๐ The black and white stripes represent an absence of gender, the gray stripes represent semi-genderless, and the green stripe represents non-binary genders.
