What does a bat walk actually feel like? That's the question we'd like to answer for people who may not be able to directly experience one for themselves.
Connecting People and Landscapes is looking for a creative filmmaker to create a short, atmospheric film that brings the bat walk experience to life - focusing on sound, light and the shift into darkness...think immersive rather than explanatory!

Last month, DCTβs Jenny, Julie and Anna headed out to Sourton Village Hall on the edge of Dartmoor β and it was a brilliant reminder of just how important village halls are to rural communities. π
Across Devon, around 440 village halls provide a vital lifeline for people living in remote areas. Theyβre more than just buildings β theyβre places where communities come together to exercise, socialise, celebrate, access services, and support one another. Some even host shops, post offices and health services, helping keep essential services close to home.
In many rural areas, village halls are the heartbeat of community life.
So if you spot our team out and about in their green glasses, donβt forget to say hello! π
