❗ Urgent CQC Update for General Practices ❗

On 25 March 2026, the CQC communicated with GP practices regarding the Returning to Good and Outstanding project. This program will initiate focused assessments of lower-risk primary care services starting in March 2026.

Key details include:

- The assessments will concentrate on 10 non-clinical quality statements.
- A GP Specialist Advisor will not routinely be involved in these assessments.
- Practices will receive at least 5 working days' notice prior to the assessments.

While the CQC has not yet confirmed the 10 Quality Statements, we have created a list based on information passed from the CQC to an ICB.
