1 whole week since we opened our doors at No 1 Polsloe and we could not have wished for better start!
Thank you very much for making this place really special and coming back for our home baked sweet and savoury treats!
We can't wait to see what next few months are going to be like!
With the new bakery coming up soon, that will supply our 2 cafes and van, we promise to supply you all with nothing, but the best pastries, no corners cut!

What's up Polsloe? We have some nice breakfast rolls for you! Made fresh this morning, including the milk bun! You can choose between:
bacon, sweet chilli mayo, herby omelette and cheese or
Tomato, herby omelette, avocado and cheese!
Also filled croissants are on the counter in case you fancy some nice and light breakfast!
Our deli fridge is full of focaccias and sourdough toasties, nobody will be left hungry here!
They are available at both locations! Come to see us at Polsloe in case you have not been yet!

Okay Polsloe… we’re (almost) ready for you 👀☕️🥐

After a slightly chaotic few days of painting, moving things around, 16 hours long days… The Ridge at No. 1 is SOFT LAUNCHING this Wednesday! 🎉

We’re keeping it soft because, realistically, we’ll probably still be figuring out where we put things 😂

But the coffee machine will be ON, the pastry counter will be FULL and we’ll have all the good stuff you know us for:

🥐 Homemade pastries
🍩 Doughnuts & cinnamon buns
🥪 Sourdough toasties & filled focaccias
☕️ Locally roasted coffee
🤌 And plenty more made from scratch by us every day

Come down, say hello, have a nose around our new home and help us give the place its first proper test run.

There might be a little chaos. There will definitely be pastries.

Who does not like cheeky maple&pecan plait from supermarket bakery isle? I always see them gone!
So I decided to make some maple and pecan pan au suisses and these are literally next level!
If you are fans of anything maple and pecan flavoured, you do not want to miss out on this one!

We’re very excited (and possibly slightly mad) to announce that we’ve taken over No. 1 Polsloe Café on Polsloe road and we’re turning it into Ridge at No 1 Polsloe! 🥐🍞🍩

It will all be run under The Ridge Coffee Shop, which basically means one thing…

MORE PLACES TO GET YOUR RIDGE FIX. 🙌

We’ll be baking, making and generally covering ourselves in flour as usual — bringing you our fresh pastries, cinnamon buns, doughnuts, sandwiches and all the other good stuff you already know us for.

So depending on where you are, you’ll now have different Ridge locations to hunt down your favourite bakes and sandwiches. Because apparently one location just wasn’t enough for us. 😂

📍 The Ridge Coffee Shop 📍 Our new Micro Bakery – Fore Street, Heavitree, will be our new main hub to create all our bakes and also we want to have a small retail shelf with our own fresh bread, focaccia, bagels and some other freshly baked goodies for you to take home and enjoy!

Same team. Same bakes. Same obsession with butter.

Italian cold cuts anyone? Take yourself on Italian holiday with this filled scaciatta! Pesto mayo, milano salami, prosciutto, mozarella, toms and some spicy rocket! Yum! Also available in our van today!

What is in the van today? We made these turkey club sandwiches for our van! Sundried tomato amd basil aioli, turkey breast ham, streaky bacon, toms and some nice leaves to keep it nice and crunchy!

I have been perfecting this recipe for over 6 years now and I am still super excited when they turn out so well!
Have you tried our doughnuts yet? We are the only place in whole Exeter selling our own proper home made doughnuts! Always made fresh in the morning by our bakers, then fried until golden brown and filled with any fillings you can imagine!
