You’ve seen the news—FareShare and The Felix Project are now Felix. We're in the process of changing social media handles but until we do, you can still follow our mission of rescuing food for fuller lives over at Felix.
But beyond the new name, what does this actually mean for the communities we serve?
It's simple really, greater efficiency means we can source more food and support more organisations resulting in fuller lives across The United Kingdom.
So what does that look like? To find out, follow us over at Felix to learn more about how and why we're able to rescue even more food for fuller lives.
By pooling our logistics, we can optimize our supply chains, identify more surplus, reach more suppliers, and ensure that perfectly good food doesn't end up in landfill. It also allows us to expand our network of community organisations and charities, now matched with our new unified and extended reach means, a more consistent and reliable supply of high-quality produce for the community kitchens, breakfast clubs, shelters, and pantries that rely on us.
And doing it all under one unified, national brand allows us to secure more support from a wider audience.
While our name is changing, our mission remains the same. Whether you're a volunteer, a donor, or a food partner, your support now powers a larger, more impactful operation.
Only together can we and will we end hunger in our communities and are excited to grow this mission with you. To learn how you can involved in your area and learn more about the ogranisation please visit our new website: https://felix.pulse.ly/zel7spa0ni

More people are being diagnosed with cancer every year, which means growing demand for the support provided by local cancer charity, FORCE. They don’t receive Government or NHS funding to sustain their vital role in helping people affected by cancer, so events like the Nello fundraising bike ride are vital. Last year’s Nello was their biggest ever and they were kind enough to donate surplus food from the event to us - and they’re about to do it again.
We’re hugely grateful for the work that FORCE do, and for giving us a helping hand too, so here’s to all the riders in this year’s Nello. Exeter Food Action wishes everyone an abundance of pedal power and a great ride. Thank you for all that you do!

Times are hard for everyone at the moment, so we don't like to ask, but times are hard for us too because our costs are rising at the same time as demand for our service, so we urgently need help if we're to rise to the challenges presented by the impact of the US/Iran war.
Please help if you can via the link below, and share/repost so we can reach as many kind people as possible. Thank you.

Dig and Donate kindly provide food for EFA and next Saturday between 10.00am and 4.00pm it's their community volunteer day. They're inviting family or friends to come along (kids welcome too) for a couple of hours to help out. If people bring a packed lunch they'll be providing cakes and refreshments. Sounds like fun!

It’s Earth Day today, celebrated around the world in over 192 countries by over a billion people, all taking action to protect our planet through environmental change. There’s a lot going on - everything from conferences and street marches to art displays, beach clean-ups and action to prevent food waste, the latter being something that we do every day, and here’s an example of what we did yesterday, gleaning at Martinsfield Farm. With help from our volunteers and staff, and from our friends at Nando’s, Princesshay, we left with 22 crates of beautiful purple sprouting broccoli, weighing 168kg!

Fourteen years ago today, in 2012, Europe's oldest intact book, the 8th century St. Cuthbert Gospel, was bought by the British Library for 9 million pounds. Sadly, we missed that one, which would have covered our annual running costs for about 90 years.
So, we still need good condition ordnance survey maps, CDs and books (of a similar value if possible). Just drop them off at either of the locations below (preferably Rosebarn Lane) and Ellen, who’s already turned around 9,000 of them into an incredible £4550, will work her magic on them, every penny of which will go towards our work getting rescued food to the many people who need it.
Thank you.
Triggered by the conflict in the Middle East, as the cost-of-living bites once again, with rising costs for energy and food, this week we took to BBC Spotlight’s sofa to explain what it means for us. Just as for everyone else, it means that costs are increasing, at a time when many people are already struggling to get food on their tables and are now likely to find it that little bit harder. We didn’t have long, just four minutes in fact, but we did what we could to share our story, which is that we’ll be doing our level best, as we always do, to ensure that nobody ever has to go hungry, or choose between eating and heating. Thank you to everyone who supports our work. We couldn't do what we do without you!

The Spring 2026 issue of our newsletter, Food Matters, is now available to view or download via the link below. With the uncertainly of further increases in the cost of living due to the war in the Middle East, this issue features several pages of potentially useful information for people struggling with rising energy and food costs, and much else besides. Feel free to share it with anyone who might be interested in our work.
