BIG NEWS! After 9 remarkable years, it’s almost time to close the doors of The Roots Foundation. But don’t panic, it’s not for sad reasons ❤️

This isn’t goodbye – it’s the start of a new chapter! We’re delighted to report that Roots besties, PJ & Joe, will continue at another fantastic shop in Exeter. We’ll still be here for you, just in a new home with a great team ✂️

As Exeter’s first vegan and inclusive barbershop, we couldn’t have imagined the community that would grow at Roots. We’re proud of this tiny corner of the universe we’ve built with you, and grateful to everyone who helped create a place where people feel they belong.

Kia ora 🖤 What an honour to welcome & to Roots today for a freshen up, all the way from New Zealand! Bailey & Alice are in town as “Queeraspondents” for the Women’s Rugby World Cup, doing brilliant work for q***r representation in the sport. Follow them for more about their research project celebrating q***r visibility in rugby, as well as top notch reporting on World Cup games. Such a pleasure to meet you both!

After witnessing the power and passion of at Sandy Park a few weeks ago, we’re wishing them all the best for the quarter finals this weekend 🙌

HELLO ADAM! ⭐️ Joining Roots from 10th Feb! After 10 years as a barber, Adam’s favourite part of the job is connecting with the community. He loves the challenge of creative cuts, from mullets to mods and all the vintage classics. Thanks to his extensive travels, he brings a range of cutting experience from working across Europe and America, as well as top notch customer service and French fluency! We’ve been juggling lots of stuff, whilst also taking care of our loved ones and ourselves. Work/life balance is a toughie, so thanks for your patience while we try to figure out it’s mysteries! ADVENTURE TIME ✈️ Bon bleddy voyage to this stone cold legend! Not only did Liv recently bid farewell to her roaring 20s (HBD 🎂) she’s now saying cheerio to Exeter for a while, as she embarks on a trip of a lifetime to India! We’ll miss her laughs, life advice (get your ears syringed, thank Liv later), and her fascination with niche condiments . She’ll be back in December and we can’t wait to hear all about what her and Jess get up to. Have an amazing time you two! 💛

It’s Harley! 🤩 Now part of the Roots team and we can’t wait for you to meet him. Dad of one, soon to be two mini humans, Harley chose barbering to express his creativity and connect with others. He’s got a yearning for learning and left us mega impressed after his stint at the unofficial Roots Barber Academy (aka being bossed around by PJ 😂). When you’re in his chair, expect chat about ancient history, travel (ask him about Zion National Park), aliens, wild conspiracies and his growing obsession with 🥪

Harley’s got a truck load of enthusiasm and an infectious posi attitude and we know you’re gonna love him.
