Our Village Hall
The first village hall in Countess Wear was built in 1922 by local men returning from the war, after the locally residing Lady Granger kindly gifted the land to the community to be used for such a building.
In more recent years, members of the village hall committee and local community put in huge amounts of hard work to fund raise the money needed to build a lovely, new, modern hall (no more having to worry about a tin roof!) and in 2016, the hard work paid off and our current village hall was built.
We’re proud to currently offer a wide range of activities, courses and events to the local community and we’re able to offer great spaces available for hire.
