Fantastic fundraiser on Saturday - racing over £500 for Project Mayhem - Charitable Organisation.

Thank you so much to everyone who took part, helped on the day and came to show their support.

We held a three way BJJ contest between teams from PM Exeter, PM Taunton and Costello BJJ.
Followed by a boxing inter club.

We’re not sharing footage. All three clubs are working in close alliance and we don’t want to give anything away online.

I forgot to get a team photos etc - but I like this one of me, Jack and Luke.

I really hope I’m not laughing at my own joke. Judges used to dock points off me at stand up comedy competitions for it.

The Project Mayhem fundraiser starts tomorrow at 1pm. The fighting starts at two.

I’m going to MC. Drum and bass DJ Alex has reluctantly agreed to play intro music prior to his set later in the day. He argued that this kind of work was beneath him.

Vicky is a bigger problem. She insists that the venue looks shabby. As a fighter I never cared where I trained, as long as the instruction and sparring was good.

But as part of my growth process I’m learning to
listen to alternative opinions.

So, can anyone arrive early, say at eleven thirty to help get the place looking s***k and span?

The day starts at 1pm. First contest 2pm. Admission is free. We have a bar, which is where we are hoping to raise funds. Please drink irresponsibly.

The Project Mayhem fundraiser is good to go this Saturday, 1pm start.

We run free classes for people who are struggling with depression, anxiety and PTSD.

I’ve billed it as a fun day on the poster, but please God don’t confuse fun day with Sunday. It’s on Saturday.

We have a Brazilian Ju Jitsu tournament. BJJ legend Luke, Cagewarriors fighter Jack, and myself are putting five our best against each other in a three way contest.

We have a boxing inter club. An inter club fight is controlled by the referee. If one competitor has a clear advantage the ref will step in and tell him to cool it.

It’s one step before an all out fight and an important part of a fighters development.

We have drum and base DJ Alex Barton. I’m not down and with the kids on this one but he’s regularly featured on radio one and has played at some big events.

And finally: We have a bar. Admission is free, the entertainment is free. This is where I’m hoping to raise funds for the work we are doing.

I don’t want to bang on about it, everyone knows what a killer mental health is.

I’m back on my feet now, all guns blazing, and determined to leave the world a better place than when I was thrown into it.
