An award-winning, world-class college in South West England. Graded Ofsted Outstanding (2023). The region's largest apprenticeship provider.
Home to leading academies in hospitality, performing arts, sports and more. Exeter College is a large, thriving and growing tertiary college which places teaching, learning and student success as our top priority. We enjoy an excellent regional reputation. The College was judged as outstanding by Ofsted in a pilot "no notice" inspection in 2012, and again in a full inspection in 2014 and 2023. We were awarded the Times Educational Supplement 'Outstanding Provider of the Year in 2012 and BTEC College of the Year in 2014. We have high expectations of our students and staff and each year their combined efforts result in excellent exam grades, outstanding training successes and brilliant music, art, sports and community achievements. We welcome students of all ages and abilities and our tutorial and learner support programmes are designed to meet their needs, challenging them to reach their full potential. Exeter College provides tertiary education for around 10,000 – 12,000 students. The College was established in 1970 as the first tertiary college in the UK, bringing together the former grammar schools' sixth forms and Exeter Technical College.

Our second-year A Level Environmental Science students trekked to Ashclyst Forest to flex their ecological surveying skills.
Their surveys looked into abiotic and biotic changes in semi-natural and planted woodlands.
They also enjoyed a talk on working in the environmental sector, led by National Trust workers and Rangers. 🍃

We were just blown away by the incredible student designs on the Sustainability Fashion Show catwalk this year.
Second-year Art and Design students took discarded materials from local stores, and refashioned them into unique, innovative garments.
They were joined by learners from the Dance Academy, and from our Make-up and Hair Artistry, Music Production, and Journalism courses. Well done to everyone for coming together and pulling off such an ambitious show.

Our Law students enjoyed their first Momentum session, led by local law firm Michelmores.
The students learnt about the solicitor apprenticeship that they offer, and were given advice on how to apply. They also were joined by an Exeter College alumna, who is now working with the firm.
This programme aims to widen access to careers in law, by building career skills, and offering experiences and mentor opportunities for local students.
