"Join autistic author and psychotherapist Hayley Graham and illustrator Jamie Whyte as they bring together storytelling, illustration and psychological insight, using examples from Hayley Graham’s spellbinding new book, 'Other Wise Hearts’."

🚨**ONLY ONE TICKET LEFT!**🚨 We can hardly believe it, but our talk at Liznojan Bookshop has basically sold out!!! Thank you so much to everyone who’s booked. We're really looking forward to seeing you.

If anyone is still hoping to come, grab the final ticket now through .

Due to this incredible demand and because it seems to be something people are interested in, we’d love to do a second event. So if you've been unable to get tickets this time and would like to attend a talk, please comment or message and we’ll contact you with the details, including a new time and date.

Also, if you’d like us to run this event (or something similar) for your organisation or group, we’d be very happy to hear from you.

Here it is 😊!

Hayley and Jamie show how art and story can illuminate aspects of autism and provide a visceral understanding of everyday autistic experiences, including loneliness, difference, masking, sensory sensitivity, vulnerability and demand avoidance.

Hayley will also share some of the psychology behind the stories, drawing on research into autistic experience and social understanding. The event offers a unique glimpse into the creative process behind the book and the ideas that shaped it and will allow plenty of time for asking questions and relaxed conversation.

Really looking forward to the 24th and feeling very grateful for all the support! And if you are looking to order a copy of Other Wise Hearts, please help us support our beautiful local independent bookshop and order through  for £9.99

Weird reminder of why SUCKS. An author had it spit this out and wanted it in their book. The publisher asked me to ‘work it up’ into something that wasn’t total nonsense - swipe along to see what I made. It was a weird and ghoulish illustration but quite fun to do. This is happening more and more though: people are asking so-called ‘AI’ to make artwork, it produces total slop, and only THEN do they ask an artist. Maybe just skip the polluting, water-sucking, IP-thieving, billionaire-boosting first step and just ASK A FKING ARTIST.

This video is about the pro-immigration, anti-racist thinking behind two of the elements in my ‘Dreamer of Dreams’ mural, in central Exeter, at the end of Gandy Street. InExeter put out a call for submissions from artists to design a mural that would be about Exeter’s ‘cultural identity’, and the unique character of Gandy Street, and my design won the commission. As well as speaking to the specific brief, given the frightening resurgence of racism currently being promulgated in the country I felt an urgent need to include a message of positivity about Britain’s diversity, and took the opportunity to select two artefacts in the nearby to incorporate into the mural that tell that story. Shout out to whose brilliant essay I came across while researching, and who helped to inspire the final design.

‘s government has spent UK tax payers’ money directly on helping Israel to commit genocide in Gaza, making us all complicit whether we like it or not.

On Land Day, 30th of March 2025, I went on a foraging walk that connected indigenous plant use from Bristol to Palestine and Lebanon, organised by the amazing multidisciplinary Land Stories team, .food .naz and . It was led by the incredibly interesting and knowledgeable .weeds and .forager. Had some beautiful Lebanese food, a gorgeous sunny walk, learned the significance and flavour of many plants that are indigenous to both the UK and Palestine and Lebanon, and met some lovely people. 🇵🇸
