We are very excited to announce test transmissions have commenced on 9A for the new ExeDAB multiplex. Initial drive round reports across the city are very good and suggesting the service is fulfilling the planned coverage area.

🎉 🎉 We're delighted to announce that Ofcom have awarded ExeDAB the Exeter small scale DAB multiplex licence. We look forward to bringing a whole range of new digital radio services to the area soon.

ExeDAB will now finalise its transmission plans for the city, before it can install the proposed transmitters. We also have provisional agreement for two further transmitters to cover Crediton and Cranbrook at a later stage.

Exe DAB are planning to bring a wider range of radio services to the Exeter area. Our application is currently being considered by Ofcom.

We would like to thank all potential service partners that have expressed an interest in operating a radio service on our multiplex.

ExeDAB would like to thank all those individuals, groups, organisations and official representatives who have supported our bid for Exeter DAB+ multiplex. The consultation period ends on the 31st January 2021 and we await the outcome of the process which should be announced in late spring 2021. Your contributions have made us even more aware of the importance of locality in providing extended opportunities and services.
