Exceptional Craftsmanship with a Personal Touch

Big jobs aren't always straightforward...

Every big project comes with its challenges. That's just the reality of working on homes... especially ones that have been lived in, changed, and adapted over the years.

You can plan as much as you like, but once you start opening things up, you will sometimes find things not quite as they should be. There could be previous work that needs correcting. Or sometimes the structure needs a rethink.

It's not a problem, it's part of the process. The important part is how it's dealt with.

We'll always explain these things to you, talk through your options with you, agree the best way forward and get it sorted out properly. đź’Ş

What renovation really involves

People often see the finished photos and think that's the job.

New kitchen.
Fresh paint.
Nice flooring.

But... the reality is, most of the work happens looooong before you get to that stage. âš’

A proper renovation usually starts with stripping everything back and seeing what you're actually working with. From there, it's about getting the structure right, sorting any issues underneath, and building everything back up properly.

That means things like:
- levelling floors
- reworking layouts
- updating electrics and plumbing
- plastering and prep

It's not always exciting, but it is what makes the difference between something that looks good for a year, and something that lasts.

The finish is what you see. But the work behind it, is what makes it. 🧡

One mistake we see too often is people rushing into renovation projects without proper prep or planning.

Good prep saves time, money, and stress later on - and can often prevent any surprises. Future you will thank you.

If you've been thinking about a renovation but aren't sure where to start, get in touch - we'll be happy to come over for a chat and give you some guidance. 🧡

One of the biggest things we focus on with any job is communication.

Building work can be disruptive... there's no getting around that. Your home is being changed, there's people in and out, decisions being made, things moving quickly.

What makes it manageable is knowing what's going on.

We keep client in the loop the whole way through with what's happening next, if anything unexpected comes up, what the options are, and how it affects the timeline.

No one likes surprises halfway through a job, especially when it could have been explained upfront.

It sounds simple, but it makes a massive difference to how the whole process feels.

One of the best signs that we're doing things right is when our clients come back to us for more work.

A lot of the time we'll complete one part of the house, to then get asked back months or even years later to take on the next stage.

That only happens when people trust you. And it's something we pride ourselves on.

There's always new work coming in, but our repeat clients are so valued (and it reminds us how valued we are too!) 🧡

A lot of what we do never makes it into photos. âš’

You'll get to see the finished kitchens, new flooring, fresh paint.. but you won't always see the hours spent getting everything ready underneath it all.

Things like...
- prepping the floors so they're level
- fixing, replacing, or making walls straight before plastering
- adjusting and scribing so units actually fit properly
- fixing older work that wasn't done right the first time

No, it's not the most glamorous or interesting part of the job, but it is the part that everything else relies on. When it's done properly, you can tell the difference.

Because when it's not. It shows.

Thinking of renovating? Here’s something people don’t always expect 👇

Not everything underneath is as it should be. 🔧 Old work, shortcuts, or things done before regs changed can all affect your project.

That’s why we always check, explain the options, and do it properly - no surprises halfway through if we can help it. 🧡

Planning something? We're happy to chat.

Kitchens aren’t just about units. They’re about flow, layout, lighting, flooring... and getting all the details right.

Whether it’s a refresh or a full rethink, we manage the whole thing so you don’t have to manage lots of different trades.

And, we’ve got a pre-build kitchen checklist if you want it 👍

If you're thinking about starting a project or doing some work on your house, we'd always start earlier than you planned.

Good (and successful!) projects take planning. Rushing usually leads to stress, delays, mistakes, and things just not being 'quite right'.

Bigger projects, especially on older homes, often uncover hidden issues too - things you just wouldn't know about until you open it up. That's completely normal, and it's much easier to deal with when you've allowed time for it.

Starting earlier gives you a chance to plan things properly and make decisions without pressure. Even if you're only at the ideas stage, it's worth having a conversation. You're not committed to anything, but it means you're going into it with your eyes open. đź‘€
