A huge thank you to everyone who attended our Haddenham Rovers Presentation Day yesterday. It was fantastic to see so many players, families, coaches, volunteers and supporters come together to celebrate another great season for the club.

The children looked like they had an amazing time, and the atmosphere throughout the day was brilliant ⚽️

We’re also delighted to share that we raised over £700 on the raffle, which goes a long way towards helping cover the £2,000 cost of trophies and awards across the club 🏆 Thank you to everyone who donated prizes, bought tickets and supported us.

A big thank you to Haddenham Sports and Social Club - Cambridgeshire for hosting us so well once again, and also to the food van team who stepped in at incredibly short notice to keep everyone fed and happy throughout the day 🌭👏

Special thanks to Jill Fairchild and Kieran for joining us to talk about Holly’s Active Stars and to present the very first Holly Fairchild Shield 🏆 Congratulations to Theo Evans for receiving the award after displaying our club values to the fullest throughout the season — a fantastic achievement and thoroughly deserved.

Congratulations also to our Under 14s, who secured the John Thorpe Trophy for Team of the Season after achieving promotion to Division 1 🏆⚽️ A brilliant season and a reward for all of their hard work.

Well done to all of our award winners across every age group. We hope everyone enjoys their individual trophies, but as always, football is a team game and every player plays their part 👏

We’ve got a couple more weeks of training and friendlies before we wrap up for the summer and begin focusing on next season.

Excellent news

We now have a food van and a good one at that, will be at the club from 4pm - late. Serving jacket potatoes, burgers, hotdogs, chips and more. Please support it and spread the word around the village (Haddenham Sports and Social Club if anyone doesn’t fancy cooking tea)

Preparations are in full swing and we are looking forward to seeing all our players and your families today for the annual awards event.

A quick reminder doors open at 12 for Academy, U8s, u9s, u10s

And for the
U11s, u12s, U14s, U16s + U17s - doors open at 4pm - ready for a 5pm start.

In previous years we have all enjoyed food from the Haddenham Kebab van, but we have clashed with their holiday this year.

The Sports and Social Club are happy for food to be eaten inside so you are welcome to take advantage of takeaways who deliver, one of the local takeaways or even bring a pack up. We won’t go hungry.

🔴🔵 Tournament season is well underway after a busy league campaign, and the Haddenham Rovers U10s continue their fantastic run of form with a second tournament win in a row! 🏆⚽️

A massive well done to the boys for winning the Cottenham Tournament yesterday, conceding only ONE goal all tournament 💪

The day finished with a brilliant win in the final against a top team in Chesterton 👏

An outstanding effort from the whole squad — full of teamwork, determination, and quality football all day long! 🔴🔵

🔴🔵🏆 TOURNAMENT WINNERS 🏆🔵🔴

After the fantastic promotion success of our U12s and U14s last weekend, this weekend it was the turn of our Haddenham Rovers U10s to make the club proud by being crowned champions at the Isleham Tournament today! 💪⚽

The boys were outstanding from start to finish — winning every group game, then going on to win both the semi-final and final, conceding just 2 goals all tournament. The final was a tight contest, but the lads showed real character and quality to secure a brilliant 1-0 victory 👏⚽

What made today even more special was the attitude, teamwork and sportsmanship shown throughout the day. The boys represented Haddenham Rovers brilliantly and continued to play positive football, even against strong teams from higher leagues.

A special mention as well to Isleham, who were fantastic hosts and a real credit to grassroots football. The tournament was extremely well organised, and their team were very respectful and complimentary after the final — fair play to them 👏

⚽ VOLUNTEERS WANTED – HOLLY FAIRCHILD TUCK SHOP ⚽

As a club, we are incredibly lucky to have Bernie volunteering every Saturday to run our tuck shop at the Holly Fairchild playing fields. Her support plays a huge part in creating the welcoming matchday atmosphere that so many players, parents and visitors enjoy each week.

The tuck shop also plays an important role in helping us invest back into our teams and facilities, while keeping our yearly subs as low and affordable as possible for families.

Our club is about far more than just players and coaches, and we would love to build a wider team to help support Bernie with the running of the tuck shop across the season.

If you would like to be part of a growing, friendly community and can spare some time on a Saturday morning, we would love to hear from you. You do not need any previous connection to the football club — everyone is welcome. Parents, grandparents, friends and members of the local community are all encouraged to get involved, so please feel free to share this post.

As an FA-affiliated club, we do follow the FA safer recruitment process for volunteers where required, but we will help guide and support anyone through this process if needed.
