Though sands are found in their range, leopard geckos are often found in and around dry grassland, mountainous or forest edge habitats,

So what does this mean?

It means your geckos have evolved to seek out those microclimates that heavy sand based substrate can’t give

Our new blend does have sand, but it is also heavy in soils and clay and even a touch of bark to bring that forest edge habitat to life!

Our new blend brings your leopard gecko closer than ever to the wild! By adding this blend, you will encourage natural behaviours as well as boosting vital humidity!

Do you have a Tortoise? Read this!

Our Brand new Tortoise formula is like no other! This substrate helps your Tortoise to show off natural behaviours, while giving a more wild look and feel!

In the wild Tortoise’s would find the ground they walk on compact and baked, with softer, humid soils under those layers, which they would seek out in hotter days.

Our Tortoise blend does just this! If you compact this substrate down, the lower levels will hold the humidity while the top layer bakes, allowing a safe and soiled base to walk on, also helping build muscles correctly!

If your Tortoise wants to dig a scrape or burrow (with deep enough substrate) our blend allows this!

If you want to add some safe to eat seeds on the Lower levels, watch as the ‘weeds’ grow up through the cracked top

Designed for Mediterranean species, but with some added Leopard Gecko this blend can serve more arid species too!
