Another Dell Vostro is in today for a keyboard swap.
A common issue with those is that the hinges screws are breaking and causing the casing to stick off from the body of the laptop.

Issue: Set of middle keys "ASDF...." and a few more were not working.

Sorted? Sure it is. 45 minutes later all looks and works as new again.

Dell Vostro 5490 with a camera 'issue' came for a repair today.
Literally 10 minutes fix.

Oh yes. Don’t we all love it when you can see the results of your work. Another Dell XPS 15” with bulged battery. Replacement took 30 minutes and the laptop works like new again (even the touchpad makes the ‘clicking’ noise) 🤙😀

Do you think upgrading old HDD is worth it for the ‘older’ laptops?
Sure it is !!!!!
Below laptop was swapped with SSD drive and the disk performance is now much better. Latest Windows 10 runs with no problems and boots up in a matter of only few seconds.
Despite it is 4th generation i5 processor it is still performing very well for its age.
With the cost od SSD drives these day it is surely an investment worth considering.
