Doing something different...

I do so much more than "just" paint, but have got into the habit of only sharing the painting, which is only a small part of my art/faith life.

Inspired by spending time with my sisters and it's time to share my pilgrimage artjourney on this page again too!

Starting with some scraps of material 😁, which i hope will turn in to something beautiful... and do you k ow what, if they're not beautiful, there will have been beauty in the making!

Layers...

Working small scale, means smaller brushes and delicate marks, with a mix of acrylic paint and water colour pencil crayons.

Another learning/remembering curve about working small scale and flat on a table, rather than up on a wall... the big black smudge from dropping my painting brush 🤣 🖤🖌

Thank goodness for the layer of gold to come 🤣💛✨️

Another Amma is popping through the gold ✨️

I'm not sure how comfortable these ladies of aceticism would feel being surrounded by the shiny yellow stuff 💛

However the use of gold in icons is representative of the divine light, truth and glory of God.
