Today, Deirdre presented Move4ward with an incredible cheque for £3,023.60, which will help us continue developing our wireless dual-channel muscle stimulation device designed to help people walk more independently.
If a piece of equipment doesn’t exist, but could make a real difference to our patients, we’ll find a way to create it
As a full-time powerchair user who cannot walk independently, Deirdre used our prototype device to walk over 1,000 metres in April — something that once seemed out of reach.
This achievement wouldn’t have been possible without the generosity, encouragement and belief of everyone who sponsored her journey. Thank you for helping turn possibility into reality.
At Move4ward, we see every day that progress happens when determination, innovation and community come together.
Believe in the impossible. Sometimes, it’s just the beginning. 💙
Laura’s recovery after x2 strokes is nothing short of amazing & boxing is a brilliant tool in her rehabilitation, helping to retrain the brain and body together through movement, coordination and repetition.
Pad work challenges balance, reaction time, cognition and motor planning, while cross-midline movements help stimulate communication between both sides of the brain. It’s also fantastic for improving timing, rhythm, confidence and overall functional movement patterns all while keeping rehab engaging, motivating and great fun - As you can see 🥊 !

That sheer look of determination…😱
After more than 4 years off her feet, today Kay stood independently once again.
This moment has been built step by step through hard work, determination and a tailored rehabilitation programme using the Motomed, Power Plate, core strengthening, weight shifting exercises and so much more.
Progress is always possible, no matter how long the journey has been.
Fabulous work Kay … 🎉🎉🎉

Great day of CPD training with almost all the Move4ward team together at The Oxygen Works 💙
We explored the Anatomy in Motion (AiM) model, focusing on treating causes rather than symptoms, discussed the latest research and developments around FND, and even finished the day with a boxing lesson (can’t say much more about this… due to the first rule of Fight Club ..🥊)
Always learning, always evolving, always striving to give our patients the very latest and very best treatments and care.
The Power Plate Pro7 HC is a great addition to our neuro rehab toolkit, using whole-body vibration to stimulate muscles, improve circulation, increase bone density & support balance and coordination.
For many of our clients, especially those with neurological conditions or restricted mobility it helps “wake up” the muscles and nervous system in a way that traditional exercise alone sometimes can’t.
Here’s Ava-Rose ( 5), who has cerebral palsy, having real fun testing this out….🤣🤣
(Shared with the kind permission of her Mum)
We continue to follow Ellen’s amazing progress, after her C4 Incomplete Spinal Cord Injury.
Today we walked (again… but better), this time without any external electrical stimulus to move her legs and without braces or supports … ❤️

Alina took a nasty fall on the stairs, resulting in fractures to her tibia and fibula, which required surgery in Aberdeen to pin and plate this.
Now 6 weeks post-op, she’s putting in the work 💪 using our Alter-G treadmill to partially weight bear, safely rebuild her walking pattern and speed up recovery. Alongside that, she’s been using our CryoPro ice and compression system at home to keep any swelling under control.
She’s making fantastic progress, and we’re confident it won’t be long before she’s back on her feet doing what she loves, at the hugely popular 19 Crepes & Coffee in Batchen Street, Elgin.
