2017 ford fiesta ecoboost.
Came to me as a non runner and diagnosed as a failed timing belt.
Stripped engine and carried out cylinder leak test and found the valves to be ok.
Replaced both wet belts and cleaned oil strainer. Found inlet vvt pulley to be faulty so replaced with a used unit I had in the unit to save the owner some money.
Once running there was an issue with the throttle module which was replaced with one I had in the workshop.
Rebuilt and running as it should.
A failed wet belt doesn't always mean catastrophic damage. Have done a few of these with no damage and new belt sorted it out. Although prevention is better than the cure it's not always worse case when it does fail. Parts are readily available for these engines including full cylinder heads which aren't that expensive if need be.. it's far better to repair what you have than buy an unknown expensive 2nd hand replacement which you would most likely need to fit a belt to as well increasing the overall cost.

2014 mini 1.2 petrol b38 engine.
Came to me as a non runner.
Diagnosed as failed timing chain.
Stripped and repaired top end damage and replaced all 3 chains, guides and both tensioners.
New oil and filter,
Lost count of how many of these new b series chains I have replaced now.
If you have a n or b series engine or any chain engine really touching 100k I recommend you have the chain replaced.
All chains in all makes and models eventually fail. It's cheaper to replace the chain as prevention rather than leave it until it fails which most of the time causes significant damage to the top end. In this case the valves survived, only minor top end damage which was very lucky.

BMW 320i n20 petrol xdrive, in for a replacement oil pump chain and timing chain due to a whirring noise. This noise is caused by the oil pump chain sometimes sounds like a worn drive belt bearing or even turbo whine. It is caused by the oil pump sprocket and chain due to the way it wears sometimes. Only fix it's to replace the oil pump chain and sprockets. Whilst there it makes sense to replace the timing chain as well. Using a febi chain kit which consists of iwis parts,
Iwis supply chains to BMW so it's basically genuine parts fitted.

BMW 220i n20 engine cylinder head replacement. Unfortunately at some point in this cars life someone had brutally removed or refitted the injectors incorrectly and damaged the bore which then wears and becomes oval and no longer seals the injector. The gasses blew pass and melted the Injectors. A new injector and seal would not seal and lasted only 5 miles before it blew the seal again. Unfortunately the only repair available is a cylinder head replacement. Sourced a second hand head and rebuilt using new injector seals. Timing chain was replaced in the past and was in great condition so wasn't required.
Next set of pictures was a more simple
