This Volunteers’ Week, we’re celebrating the incredible people who give their time, compassion and experience to support children and families across Scotland.
Margaret has been a volunteer on our support line for over seven years. As a parent herself, she knows how overwhelming life can feel at times and offers a listening ear without judgement to families when they need it most.
Margaret’s story highlights the difference volunteers make every day and how they help us protect Scotland’s children and give them a brighter future: https://ow.ly/fHel50Z69Hb

This is Finn's story.
On the outside, life looked ordinary. Inside, he was afraid.
Eight years old, lying awake, listening for danger.
Sometimes it was shouting.
Sometimes silence.
Sometimes something worse.
No child should live like this but too many across Scotland do.
Follow this link to donate today and help children like Finn feel safe again. https://ow.ly/AwWo50Z3aPK

Almost two-thirds of children and young people in Scotland who responded to our Young Scot survey told us that they spend too much or far too much time online.
And a staggering eight-five percent told us that being online is stopping them from other activities that are vital to their health, wellbeing and development. Things like sleeping, relaxing, being active or outside and spending time with family.
Children like 10 year old Poppy are telling us that too much time online is destroying their childhood.
That’s why today, as we launch our strategic priorities for the next five years, we are committing to do everything we can to protect children from online harm, to protect children and protect childhood.
