Programme Dance grading: A New Resource for Dancers and Organisers 💃🕺
Following it's successful introduction at Summer School and other events in 2025, the RSCDS Dance Grading System has now been applied to almost 1,000 dances.
Implementing this system into your programmes will help enhance dancer experience and shape your social dance programmes.

Former Scotland goal keeper Alan Rough officially launched World Cup Day of Dance at yesterday.
Alan, who played in three world cups for Scotland, was put through his paces by Croftfoot Primary pupils who taught him how to perform the 'World Cup Wheech' a dance specially devised for the event.
The World Cup Day of Dance is a nationwide campaign in partnership with encouraging Primary and Secondary schools to get active ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

We are partnering with to encourage schools and communities across Scotland to get active ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup ⚽🏴
Its our GOAL to get all of Scotland doing the 'World Cup Wheech', a dance specially devised for the event by Penpont Primary School in Dumfries and Galloway.
Join us for the World Cup Day of Dance on Friday 12th June and get the whole country dancing in support of the Scotland team ahead of their first game.

The Carnforth Collections, Volume 1 Book and Double CD available to pre order now!
We are delighted to publish the Carnforth Collections: Volume 1 this summer, covering the first three collections in one book, together with a recording made by Liam Stewart and his band.
Originally published between 1991 and 2008 by Derek Haynes and his wife Maureen, these collections demonstrate the innovation for which he had become well known.
