Tonight we say goodbye and thanks to El.

She is leaving us after 6 years of awesomeness to pursue her post-grad in law. We have no doubt that she will achieve another top degree and go on to have a successful, fulfilling career making a real difference to the causes that matter most to her.

El has been an absolute trooper at Balerno Inn. She led by example—whether she was running the bar, taking charge of the floor, or mentoring and training the next generation of servers, she never gave anything less than 100%. Great cocktails, fantastic service, and smiling customers and colleagues told a consistent story.

​She clocks off tonight with our deep appreciation, our thanks, and our friendship for life.

After a long, mostly dry and mostly busy summer things today caught us by surprise.
The C-BOMB was dropped in Balerno Inn and other than head chef Andy we were all caught rather aghast

It was a shock for sure , but once we gathered ourselves we reconciled it wasn't as bad as it first seemed, in fact, for the most part it made us grin.
