✨ £16,758 RAISED! ✨
We recently welcomed the amazing team from the Edinburgh Charity Fashion Show (ECFS) to our Edinburgh office, where they presented us with a phenomenal final fundraising total!
Achieving this incredible amount was no small feat. The ECFS team poured their hearts into months of hard work, from creative pop-up shops and community events to their spectacular flagship Fashion Show, and even lacing up their running shoes to tackle the Edinburgh Marathon Festival. 🏃♀️
But this partnership was about so much more than the numbers. Beyond the vital funds raised, the ECFS team did an incredible job of championing our mission, shining a spotlight on Capability Scotland, and raising immense awareness about the work we do as a charity.
The true heart of this collaboration was the time the ECFS team spent directly with our service users. It was a genuinely reciprocal partnership where both parties learned, grew, and gained so much from each other. Our community absolutely loved sharing their experiences, and everyone came away with new perspectives, deeper understanding, and wonderful memories. 🫶
While our official partnership has now drawn to a close, the impact of our time together will be felt for a very long time. A massive thank you to the entire ECFS committee, the runners, and everyone who supported their events. You have helped us spread our message and continue our vital work supporting disabled people across Scotland. 💙
“The best partnerships aren’t just about financial support, they’re about connection and community.” 🤝
Our 2026 Golf Day sponsors, Truscott Property, are getting ready to tee up!

This year marks a massive milestone for Capability Scotland. For eight decades, we’ve been working alongside disabled people in Scotland to provide world class support and advocacy. Now, we’re looking towards the future.
We’ve partnered with the National Free Wills Network to offer our supporters the chance to write or update their Will for free. It’s a simple way to get your affairs in order while ensuring our vital work continues for generations to come.
Meet Anne and John, they recently used the service to leave a gift to Capability Scotland. For them, it was about more than just a donation, it was about peace of mind.
"From a personal point of view we know our affairs are in order when something inevitably happens to us."
By leaving a gift in your Will, you’re helping us carry on for another 80 years and more.

The Edinburgh Marathon Festival took place over the weekend, and we are incredibly grateful to all of our participants and supporters who turned out for Capability Scotland.
While we appreciate everyone's efforts, we want to highlight one particular runner. Micaela took on the "Hairy"- an incredible challenge consisting of all four races across two days. She completed the 5k and 10k on Saturday, before conquering both the half marathon and the full marathon on Sunday 🤯
Micaela’s motivation is close to home; her brother is one of our service users at Upper Springland. She originally aimed to raise £10,000 to go towards Our Inclusive Community Project (OICP) and the hydrotherapy pool. We are thrilled to share that she has smashed that target. Micaela is currently sitting at just under £13,000, and that's without gift aid factored in yet!
From everyone at Capability Scotland and Upper Springland, we want to say a massive thank you to Micaela for her phenomenal effort and dedication.
If you would like to support her achievement, you can find her fundraising page here: https://www.justgiving.com/page/manymilesformatthew?utm_campaign=lc_frp_share_transaction_fundraiser_page_launched&utm_content=45da666d-4073-465d-9195-6ccbf353e068&utm_medium=email&utm_source=postoffice&utm_term=1767901522540
