Huge thanks to Broomhouse Mosque for their donation for our Foodbank. Enough food to fill around 80 emergency foodbags for our clients!

It's support like this that enables us to deliver our services to the most vulnerable people in our community and we are very grateful to everyone who donates.

Ending with a photo of our Inspiring Volunteer award winners at the ceremony hosted by Volunteer Edinburgh and the City of Edinburgh Council at the City Chambers.

We have 45 volunteers, who over the past year have volunteered 6,300 hours to deliver our 14 services. Every one of them deserves a certificate.

We are so fortunate to have every single one for the unique skills, unending energy and empathy they bring. And, of course, an unwavering ability to work with a constantly changing environment!

As part of , we felt it was only right and fitting to reward our volunteers in style with our very own COSCARS (Celebrating Outstanding Support, Care And Remarkable Service) ceremony.

Many of our volunteers were awarded accolades reflective of their invaluable contribution to the project.

Continuing our celebration of volunteers this week, today we are recognising the Chair of COSS, and all round superstar volunteer, Jon Cross, who was nominated for an Inspiring Volunteer Award this week.

Jon was nominated for his exceptional leadership and commitment. While his Board role is invaluable, he consistently goes beyond it, leading by example across all areas of work.

He willingly undertakes a wide range of practical tasks, including mentoring staff, emptying vans, painting, unblocking sinks, moving stock, and driving when needed,
demonstrating that every contribution matters.

Jon brings humour, warmth and kindness to his role, helping to lift morale and create a positive team culture. His impact extends beyond practical support, strengthening relationships, building confidence in others, and fostering strong partnerships across the organisation and with donors.
