From a fairytale stay at the iconic 🗝️

This hotel holds a very special place in my heart for many reasons. It was my second workplace in Edinburgh for almost 5 years and I’ve met some of the dearest people to my heart here. Coming back to stay as a guest felt like a full circle moment and so surreal in the best way possible.

This building used to be a train station in late 1800’s and was called the Caledonian Railway Station, hence the name of the hotel today. It is a category A listed building, very precious and iconic to Edinburgh’s West End.

Some of my favourite things about it - beautiful and rare red sandstone facade, incredible views of the castle, my room which had a bath with more views, and the wonderful team who looked after me and welcomed me back with such warmth.

It’s one of a kind type of place and an Edinburgh gem for sure, I was so spoiled and look forward to coming back here for another special occasion. 🥂

October is absolutely flying by and I’m scared that if I blink too slowly I might just miss it! It’s been an absolutely incredible month so far though and I’m savouring every single moody minute 🤎✨

I’m normally not big on celebrating my achievements, however this one feels pretty special 🥹

What started a small hobby to fill my evenings after work, has grown into a beautiful community with 300k friends! It’s been the most incredible 4 years of lots of travel near and far, enjoying every single rainy day, celebrating seasons, beautiful hotel stays and cosy moments with coffee and cake. I am eternally grateful for this being my full time job, I can’t imagine a more fulfilling and fun career and I want to say thank you for sticking around to witness all of these adventures through my camera lens.

Today I’m celebrating and virtually sharing a slice of this beautiful autumnal cake with all 300,000 of you 🍰🧡

I woke up with the intention of taking my new bag for its first outing in the city (a sort of new handbag baptism I like to do 💁🏻‍♀️), and realised the haar had cloaked the town once again. I’m so glad I managed to grab a few snaps of it on my camera before it disappeared within an hour - such a beautiful and fleeting sight 🥹

Remember storm Amy? Well, while Scotland was getting battered by the wind, I spent the weekend completely oblivious to the chaos outside. Curled up at House, I savoured the peaceful haven within for 3 days.

We gathered to celebrate their latest ‘Once Upon a Time in Scotland’ campaign, starring the legendary Harrison Ford. We indulged in multiple drams of the delicious Glenmorangie Infinita 18yo by the fireplace, chatting away and playing cards.

Despite the unpredictable weather, it was a great time and we made some excellent memories! (PR invite)
