We’re excited to introduce a new addition to LS Tuition, launching this August as part of our Accessing Excellence Studio - Talking, Listening & Confidence Workshops.

These sessions are designed to develop confident communication, discussion and listening skills, supporting children in their everyday learning as well as preparing them for the speaking, interview and discussion elements of independent school entrance assessments.

In small, supportive groups of no more than six pupils, children are gently guided through activities that build confidence in speaking, expressing ideas and working collaboratively with others. Many children find interview-style tasks unfamiliar or intimidating, particularly without opportunities to practise in a structured group setting - which is exactly what these workshops provide.

Each session is interactive, carefully supported by experienced tutors, and designed to help children feel more comfortable finding and using their voice with confidence.

These workshops are designed to help children become familiar with the structure, pace and style of independent school entrance assessments in a calm, supportive and guided environment.

Rather than focusing on strict exam conditions, pupils are supported throughout by experienced tutors, helping them build confidence, strengthen exam technique and develop independence when approaching unfamiliar questions.

With small groups of no more than six pupils, every child benefits from personalised attention while also gaining experience working alongside others, preparing for similar assessments.

As part of every lesson at LS Tuition, children finish with 5 minutes in our Activity Arena! A chance to have fun while stretching their brains even further with logic puzzles, brain teasers, challenges and more!

Activities like these do far more than entertain; they help children develop problem-solving skills, critical thinking, resilience and confidence in approaching new challenges. Learning to think creatively and tackle problems from different angles is a skill that supports children both inside and outside the classroom.

The final weeks of term can feel BIG for children.
