Why does being in your 20’s bring so much pressure for expectations? We are expected to know exactly what job we want to do for the rest of our lives. Expected to move house and have your own place, your own bills and your own home. Work long hours to have an income to then be expected to see friends, workout/stay fit, eat healthy and all the other things you ‘should’ be doing in 24 hours and if you don’t then your boring. We should be drinking smoothies, meal prepping being organised and being active and if you don’t then your failing.Your meant to book those flights and see the world but also ensure you save as you should be ready for ‘adult life’.
You have people getting engaged, starting a family or getting married setting new expectations for others who are in their 20’s and still trying to figure out their next stage. When did the world get caught up in expectations and where people should be rather than being in the reality that we all have different chapters, different goals, different stories and we don’t all need to be at a certain point. If we aren’t at that expectation then that shouldn’t be a bad thing. Being in your 20’s is just one mad rush of pressure of having to look, be, have and act a certain way when in reality you end up losing yourself and forget to have fun. When will we normalise that being in your 20’s should be an age of finding who you are rather than knowing who you are?

People usually wait for a Monday to start new goals. But why wait to start a goal? If you have a goal and you want to start it then start that goal today. Don’t wait till the following week in order to pursue your dream/goal. Do it now! I hope today is amazing whatever your goal is big or small. Make today count. As we aren’t promised that tomorrow will come so make the most of it 💗✨🌼

On my walk last week I found a cut full of positive quotes, children’s toys and colourful bunting. There is so many negative things happening in the world right now but even the smallest positive thing you see can make you forget about the bad for just a few minutes. Remembering that there is good in this world even if you have to look a little harder than usual. Sending my love to everyone xo
