Praising a child should be intentional and specific

Feeling Happy, Safe, and Loved is crucial for children's development.

4 Tips to incorporate learning into everyday

1. Label items verbally & with sticky notes. Always talk about your environment

 2. Play learning-based games i.e using a deck of cards to work out a math game 7 hearts + 2 hearts = 9 hearts

 3. Making screen time interactive by asking your children questions about what they watched, sitting with them, and pointing things out on the screen.

 4. Model the behaviour you want your children to learn. Parents should lead by example by showing what good behaviour looks like.

What do you want to write about your children's future?

Parents should endeavour to write plans for their children’s future. Writing things down can serve as a reminder about our vision for our children and help us to put things in place to help them achieve their goals.

In this busy life, it is important to be intentional. This task is not only about writing down the career we may have for them but instead statements like ‘I will encourage my child to always do their best’ or ‘I will focus on developing his/her strengths and unique characteristics’ is a great place to start.
