The candidate must have their own hand tools and equipment however, power tools and other associated items are supplied (other than what would be deemed specialist) and be self-sufficient in nature.
To aid in the rapid growth of Insightuk, we are currently seeking a multi skilled engineer which included the following;
- Industrial Doors
- Automatic Doors
- Gates & Barriers
- High Speed Doors
- Loading Bay Equipment
This will include the repair, service, and maintenance of all of the above as well as new installation of auto doors, automatic barriers, automatic gates, sectional doors, high speed and insulated doors, including access control.
A proven background of working within the industry as the successful applicant will undertake reactive and planned maintenance visits across a wide variety of commercial sites in the UK.
The successful candidate will hold a minimum of 2 years proven experience in the industry. As well as have an approachable character and be confident with communicating with, our office based staff, suppliers and clients. Within this role the successful candidate will be required to complete all documentation including completing work sheets, typing exam reports etc. electronically on the high spec mobile telephone and android tablet provided to them. Alongside this they will also be able to correctly identify and obtain prices from suppliers for the head office to compile the required quotations etc.

The candidate must be confident in being able to work from Ladders, Scaffold, MEWP’s and roof areas to install, maintain or repair gates/ barriers/ Auto doors as required and have a good Health & Safety understanding.
Assemble, install, test, and maintain Automatic Gates, barriers and Auto door equipment using hand tools and power tools. Diagnose door/component failure, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
· IPAF/PASMA preferred
· Full clean driving licence required.
· Electrical experience/mechanical knowledge and industry experience is an advantage.
Successful applicants will need to have a flexible approach to work and be prepared to work in evenings and weekends.
Rate of pay will depend on experience, with a company van, mobile phone, tablet and ladders being provided for work use.
