The flex cable that connected the cart reader to the board is prone to failure, essentially breaking the contact from one side to the other. This can be solved by just running an enamelled (insulated) wire from one end to the other, bypassing the flex cable

How a HDMI Port replacement should be done (ground leg to the left soldered after the picture) 👌
