We're rounding off with simple tips to make salads exciting, filling & last for daysπ₯
Fight hunger πͺ
β’ Make grains or pulses (like beans and lentils) the base of your salad: we like couscous, bulgur wheat and chickpeas. ππ§
β’ Add nuts and seeds: Aldi have a selection of cheap and tasty salad toppers! π°π»
Make it once, eat it all week π§Ίβ±οΈ
β’ To keep your salad fresh, use vegetables that stay crunchy and wonβt brown: think carrot, peppers, celery & radish π₯π«πΏ
β’ Swap soft greens for stronger leaves like cabbage π₯¬, scoop out the centre of your cucumber π₯, and keep your cherry tomatoes whole π
.
β’ Keep your dressing & nuts/seeds separate, then pour it on your portion when youβre ready to eat. π₯
An exciting salad? β¨
β’ A bit of sweetness keeps your palate interested: we love dates, grapes, and pomegranate seeds. ππ΄π΄
β’ Make a salad dressing that you love: theyβre healthier and tastier than shop bought dressings and you can adjust it to your own taste. π«β€οΈ
