AR Projects - Community Support
A R PROJECTS CIC, primarily focuses on providing food aid and community support.
70 to 100 people served in one session.
"The joy comes from the faces you see smiling because you've handed them food. That pregnant lady with three kids, happy and grateful, my joy comes from knowing I helped her today."
This is what your support makes possible, one Sunday at a time.
"Bring yourself out of your shell."
Amy's advice to anyone thinking about volunteering, whether soup kitchens or events: everyone comes from a different background, and everyone's made to feel welcome.

Volunteering is amazing, but for Jib it's about more than showing up. It's about service and meeting what people actually need.

For someone barely holding on, a moment of kindness isn't small. It's the breath that keeps them going. Be someone's oxygen today.
"It seems simple, we go out and give food. It's not."
Disabilities, pregnant women, children, elderly people, mental health needs: every session means reading the room and making sure everyone's protected and supported.
"I wish more people in Croydon knew about the brotherhood, how many good hearts are in that group."
"It's given me a sense of purpose... it's always a reminder that charity is such a special thing, and not everybody finds giving charity easy."
Still a grassroots organisation, still cooking for the few. What started as handing out a surplus has grown into something more: countless service users going on to become volunteers themselves.

The people who say the least are often carrying the most. Meet quiet struggle with loud, unmistakable kindness.
A smooth soup kitchen session doesn't happen by accident.
"It takes the determination to help others, then the rest is planning and organisation. Have a plan on how you're going to distribute the food, what order everything's going to go in. Once you've planned it, things run a lot smoother."
Behind every Sunday session is a structure most people never see.
"These events bring women together in a safe, halal environment."
Charity, friendship, and a break from the busy routine of being a working mum, that's what Amy found through AR Projects.
