What a weekend it has been for Austin!

Firstly, thank you so much to everyone who has helped make this weekend so special for him. He’s a very, very tired little 8-year-old, but more importantly, a very happy one!

Now, onto the racing…

Another day at Stretton and another hat-trick of wins! 🏆🏆🏆

Austin qualified 2nd this morning after Daisy pipped him to pole position on the penultimate lap of qualifying. While trying to work his way around a slower rider at the bottom hairpin, there was a slight touch and unfortunately Austin went down, hurting his hand a little. Thankfully, it did absolutely nothing to dent his confidence.

He rode all three races to perfection and was pushed all the way by his fellow riders. They say you don’t have to win by a country mile, you just have to be the first to get your wheel over the line. That was certainly true today! Although I think everyone’s heart rate would have been a little lower had he managed that country-mile victory in each race!

Not only did he complete the hat-trick of wins and extend his championship lead, but he also set a new personal best lap time of 41.7 seconds. 🚀

There was some fantastic riding and great results from all the kids today, making it well worth the long drive home.

We couldn’t be prouder of Austin’s determination, resilience and racecraft this weekend. Onwards to the next one! 💪🏁

Next stop Round 3 FAB Racing Hooton Park circuit in two weeks time

What a start to a great birthday weekend! 🎉🏁

The race family arrived early today at Stretton, and we had a really lovely BBQ together before the kids took to the track. Austin was absolutely spoilt rotten and loved every minute of it! 🎂❤️

He decided he was going to ride both his 12mm bike to help prep for racing and his KTM, and he had a fantastic night's riding on both. 💪🏍️

A big thank you to Steve Jordan Motorcycles for servicing his KTM forks and having them ready in time for this weekend – it made a huge difference and is very much appreciated! 🙌

Looking forward to the rest of the birthday celebrations and more racing action this weekend! 🎉

After being featured in the West Sussex Times this week, Austin is back in action this weekend at Stretton!

Last weekend he was busy being a typical 7-year-old, enjoying the District Cub Camp, but now it’s time to switch gears and get back on the bike.

He’s going to have to work hard if he wants to stay at the top of the standings, with some incredibly talented riders chasing him all the way. Fingers crossed he can keep the momentum going.

To make the weekend even more special, Austin will be celebrating his 8th birthday. What an amazing birthday present it would be to come away with another strong result.

Horsham’s young racing star leads the way

💚 With a heavy heart, we’re putting Dan’s race bike up for sale.

It’s not something we really want to do, but needs must – we’ve got a Metrakit to pay for for Austin, and racing is never a cheap hobby!

Affectionately known as The Flying Lettuce, this bike has been a huge part of our lives. It was Dan’s very first race bike and holds so many memories for our family. It’s also the bike I learned to spanner on—because there was absolutely no way I was going to settle for being just a brolly girl! 😄

This really is a beautiful bike, and we’d love to see it go to someone who will appreciate it as much as we have.
