β½οΈπ Preschool had a fantastic World Cup Day today!
The classroom and preschool entrance were decorated with flags and balloons, and the children arrived proudly dressed in the colours of their favourite teams. We spent time talking about the different countries the children support, as well as learning about our home country, England. π
The children enjoyed practising their football skills outside, made their own football crafts, and were each awarded a medal for taking part. To finish the day, we enjoyed a special snack inspired by the England flag. β€οΈπ€
A fun-filled day of learning, teamwork and celebration! β½οΈβ¨

π A special day to remember... π
Last week we celebrated one year of St Francis Church Nursery, and what a wonderful afternoon it was!
From face painting and bouncing on the bouncy castle to party food, birthday cake and lots of smiles, it was fantastic to see our children and families enjoying the celebrations together. π
As we look back on these photos, weβre reminded how much has happened in just one year. Weβve welcomed new faces, watched friendships grow and created so many special memories along the way.
Thank you to all of our families for being part of our journey so far. Your support means so much to us, and we canβt wait to continue making memories together in the years ahead. β¨
π ONE YEAR OF ST FRANCIS NURSERY! π
What a wonderful afternoon celebrating our first birthday with the children, families and team who have made the last year so special. π
From bouncing on the bouncy castle and enjoying party food to sharing birthday cake and making memories together, it was the perfect way to mark an incredible first year. π₯³π
A huge thank you to all of our families for your support, trust and for being part of our journey so far. Watching the children learn, grow and thrive over the past 12 months has been an absolute privilege.
Hereβs to many more years of fun, learning and adventures ahead! β¨

There was plenty of excitement in the garden as our little explorers rolled up their sleeves and helped harvest the onions theyβve been helping to grow.
From digging in the soil to carefully pulling up their crops, gardening gives children the chance to learn where food comes from, develop patience and responsibility, and connect with the world around them. ππ
And seeing the childrenβs faces when they discovered what was hiding beneath the soil made all their hard work worthwhile! π±

Screen time is something most families navigate every day, and it can be hard to know what the right balance looks like.π±π§
Weβve put together this simple guide based on current UK Government and NHS recommendations for children under 5, covering screen time limits, content choices and how screens can impact early development.
Itβs important to remember that every child and family is different. The aim isnβt perfection, but creating healthy habits and ensuring screen time is balanced with plenty of opportunities for play, movement, conversation, creativity and real-world experiences. π
