Today, Margaret and Sue went to pay their final respects and say a last farewell to Blanche, Saffron and Sindy's mum.

They attended on behalf of the rescue, but also on a personal level. Sue had worked alongside Blanche many years ago, and while Margaret never had the privilege of knowing Blanche personally, she has been caring for her beloved girls, Saffron and Sindy, since they came into the care of Barbara at the catio before moving into Margaret and David's foster home, where they have remained ever since.

It was a beautiful service, with so many people there to celebrate Blanche's life and pay their respects. CAFO made a wreath which was placed on Blanche's coffin – a fitting tribute to a lady whose life revolved around her cats. A big thank you to Jane one of our lovely volunteers who got the wreath over to Nantwich for us.

Blanche adored her animals beyond measure. In fact, she was known for refusing hospital treatment because she couldn't bear the thought of leaving her cats behind. They meant everything to her.

We hope it brings some comfort to know that Saffron and Sindy are deeply loved and cherished by Margaret and David. They are happy, safe, and very much adored in their foster home, just as Blanche would have wanted. Saffron and Sindy loved their mum dearly, and she loved them with all her heart.

Rest in peace, Blanche. A truly lovely lady whose kindness and devotion to animals will never be forgotten. ❤️🐾

Meet Rain & Storm ❤️
These beautiful girls came to us after we were contacted by a social worker. Sadly, their owner became homeless and was unable to take them along. With nowhere else to go, the pair were placed in a cattery a few miles away, where they have spent the last three months waiting for a brighter future.
We agreed to help, despite being incredibly short on space, but thankfully the wonderful Lynne Cavanagh at Feline lodge stepped in and offered them a place to stay for the next month. We honestly can't thank her enough. 💕
Now that they are much closer to us, we have been able to get them to the vets. We had originally been told they were a boy and a girl and, because of this, they had been separated for the last three months. However, we now know they are actually two girls!
Rain and Storm are only around 10 months old, so they are still very much youngsters themselves and have their whole lives ahead of them. ❤️
The good news is that they have now been:
🐾 Spayed
🐾 Microchipped
🐾 Flea treated
🐾 Worm treated
After everything they have been through, they are now enjoying being thoroughly spoiled and pampered during their stay at Feline Lodge. 🥰
As soon as we have space available with one of our fosterers, they will be coming into our care. In the meantime, we know they are in the very best hands and being treated like the little queens they are.
These gorgeous girls are now called Rain and Storm (Storm was previously known as Gizmo) and they are a lovely, affectionate pair who deserve all the happiness in the world after such a difficult few months.
A huge thank you to Lynne for helping these special girls and giving them a safe place to stay while they wait for the next chapter of their journey. ❤️🐾

🐾 Sheila's kittens are looking for their forever homes! 🐾
Gorgeous Sandy, Cindy and Sidney will be due their second vaccinations shortly and are now looking for loving forever homes. ❤️
In a perfect world, we'd love to see all three stay together, but we know that's a big ask. They can be rehomed as a pair, or individually, provided there is already a young cat or kitten in the home for company.
Sheila has done an amazing job raising her babies, and they have grown into friendly, playful and affectionate kittens. They are litter trained, eating and drinking well, and love playing together. They have also been socialised with children and are used to family life.
Their lovely mum Sheila is friendly too and has been a fantastic mum from the start. 🥰
All kittens will leave with: 🐾 Second vaccination
🐾 Microchip
🐾 Flea and worm treatment
🐾 Five weeks' free insurance
🐾 Neutering/spaying included in the adoption fee when they are old enough, carried out at our vets
If you are interested in offering Sandy, Cindy or Sidney a loving home, please get in touch.
🏡 Home check and adoption fee apply.
💕 Please share to help these beautiful kittens find the loving homes they deserve. 🐾

Sometimes a cat comes along at exactly the right time. ❤️

Beautiful boy Sura recently went to a foster home with a view to adopt. His new owner, Jen, adopted from us last year, but sadly her older cat recently passed away.

Losing a beloved pet is heartbreaking, and the grief can stay with us for a very long time. Often, when we think about welcoming another animal into our lives, it can feel as though we're somehow replacing the one we've lost. But that's never the case.

Jen's younger cat, Pigwidgeon, was missing the companionship she had always known. Putting Pigwidgeon's needs first, Jen bravely decided to foster Sura and see if they would be a good match.

As expected, there were a few days of hissing from Pigwidgeon, but that was about it! Sura is such a friendly, loving and placid boy that we had a feeling he'd soon win her over.

And he certainly has. 🥰

The photos say it all. Sura hasn't replaced the cat that was lost and dearly loved. Instead, he has helped to heal two broken hearts. In return, Pigwidgeon has given Sura a wonderful home filled with love.

We couldn't be happier for them all and wish them many happy years together. ❤️

💜 A massive thank you to Alsager Animals In Need for kindly donating the liver supplements after the heartbreaking loss of their long-term cat who sadly passed away. Our thoughts are with everyone involved. 🌈🐾
We would also like to thank Sandra Edwards for collecting them, Julie Berry for supplying additional supplements to help Bella, and Tracy Eastham for kindly dropping them off to us.
We really can't thank you all enough for your kindness, generosity, and support. It means so much to our rescue and to Bella. If we can ever return the favour, please don't hesitate to ask.
Please keep Bella in your thoughts as we wait for her next blood tests in three weeks' time. We are all hoping and praying for much better results and that this special little girl continues to fight and improve. ❤️🐱
Thank you all once again for being part of Bella's journey.

Poor little Bella went to the vets today for her spay, vaccinations and microchip. Thankfully her SNAP/FIV-FELV test was negative, which was good news

Bella is only around 6–9 months old, so we were expecting a routine day. Sadly, we received a phone call from the vets to say she wasn't recovering from the anaesthetic as they would normally expect and was still very lethargic and wobbly several hours later.

As a precaution, the vets decided to run blood tests, but unfortunately her blood results showed some concerning liver readings.

Bella has now been allowed home where she can rest, be monitored closely and hopefully recover well over the next few weeks. When she returns for her second vaccination, her bloods will be rechecked and we are all hoping to see a big improvement.

We are keeping everything crossed for this sweet girl and would really appreciate your positive thoughts and prayers for Bella. ❤️

Also, if anybody happens to have an unused liver supplement suitable for cats sitting in a cupboard that they no longer need, we would be incredibly grateful. We have ordered some, but it is unlikely to arrive until next week.

Come on Bella, we're all rooting for you. 🐾❤️

🌟 AMAZING NEWS FOR OUR BEAUTIFUL LUNA 🌟
We couldn't be prouder to share that our gorgeous Luna has finally found her forever home! ❤️
Luna has been our longest resident at present, coming into our care in August 2025 heavily pregnant and frightened. Shortly afterwards, she gave birth to seven beautiful kittens, who all quickly found loving homes. Sadly, Luna's journey wasn't quite so straightforward.
When Luna arrived, she was extremely scared and would often nip when she felt threatened. Understandably, after everything she'd been through, trusting people didn't come easily. This young mum had endured a difficult life, with people reportedly throwing stones at her before she came into rescue.
A huge thank you goes to Krisha, who spent months patiently working with Luna, helping her learn that people could be kind. Luna began to trust her, but with so many other cats needing care, she wasn't always able to get the one-to-one attention she needed.
That's when Stuart stepped in. Stuart has been absolutely amazing with Luna and has played a huge part in her transformation. One of his quotes still makes us laugh: "I've stopped her nipping... I just don't stroke her!" 😂
With time, patience, and understanding, Luna began to blossom. Before long, she was sleeping on Stuart's bed, sitting on the sofa with him, and showing just how much love she had to give. Between Krisha and Stuart, they have helped Luna become the cat she is today.
We would also like to say a massive thank you to everyone who tagged us in Max's post when he was looking to adopt a rescue cat. Max and Ruby contacted us straight away, and after chatting that evening, Sandra carried out a home check. In a very short space of time, they meet Luna on her adoption day.
Taking on a cat like Luna is a huge commitment. She can still be a little unsure at times, and there was always the possibility that she might not be the right fit. But Max and Ruby have been absolutely fantastic. They understood exactly what Luna needed, have given her the space and patience she deserves, and have completely spoiled her rotten already! ❤️
It's always so special when people are willing to take a chance on a cat who isn't perfect on paper. They had never met Luna before adoption day, yet they opened their hearts and home to her, and we couldn't be more grateful.
Thank you to everyone who has played a part in Luna's journey – Krisha, Stuart, Sandra, Max and Ruby, and everyone that drops supplies at fosterers and vet runs and all of our wonderful supporters who have followed and shared her story.
After raising seven kittens and overcoming so much fear and trauma, Luna finally has the loving home she deserves.
Well done, Luna. We are so incredibly proud of you. 🐾❤️

A massive thank you to Trish brooks, Sarah king for the cash donation and Rachel elvy for the amazing outdoor cat shelter. This is great for our semi feral girl Suzie who likes to play in the fields and come back in the house when she wants. Also any other strays that turn up. ❤️🐈‍⬛
