We wanted to recognise the annual World Mental Health Day, taking place today, on 10th October, by re-sharing a note in one of our branches in the Gent's toilet. It holds a simple but very meaningful message, not take for granted the impact of openly asking “How are you?” because such a simple question can open many different perspectives.

Have you ever wondered which geotextile is best - woven or nonwoven?

We’ll shed light on some of the merits of the versatile geotextiles available through the Jewson Civils Frazer network. Used in a variety of construction works, they both work by blocking debris or separating aggregates while allowing water to pass through.

The woven variety is often chosen to add strength, but it may be a more cost-effective way of achieving separation compared to nonwoven.

At the same time, the nonwoven variety is popular because of its filtration qualities. This robust geotextile is highly puncture resistant with permeability and impressive hydraulic properties.
