Big week for Poppy ๐Ÿ‘๐ŸŽ“๐Ÿ’ซ

Poppy first joined us as an intern and has continued working for us while completing her final year at BCU, gaining valuable experience alongside her studies.

This week we joined her at her graduate show, where she picked up an award for Innovation, Practice & Process for her final year project ๐Ÿ‘

And, to top it off, her amazing work was also featured in Dezeen ๐ŸŒŸ๐Ÿคฉ

A brilliant achievement and so deserved. Big congrats Poppy, youโ€™ve absolutely smashed it.

The USA and UK approach optical interior design a little differently ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ

Last year, we met ForSight Eyecare in Savannah, Georgia, when they travelled to the UK to attend OSA.

One of the things they told us was how impressed they were by the way many UK practices use store design to balance customer experience, retail and clinical care.

ForSight wanted to bring some of that thinking to their own practice, so they asked us to help redesign their space in Savannah.

The brief was to create a space inspired by the best elements of UK optical design, bringing together retail, customer experience and clinical excellence in a single environment. An approach that moved beyond the more clinically-led spaces they were used to seeing.

The project is well underway, and here are just a few of our concepts ๐Ÿ‘€

Weโ€™ve been back on campus again, but this time not designing ๐ŸŽ“

We were invited by Birmingham City University to set a live design brief for their first-year Interior Architecture and Design cohort.

Supporting our industry and emerging talent is hugely important to us, so of course we jumped at the chance to take part ๐Ÿคฉ
