At Meadow Park this week, we explored Progressive Masculinity and what masculinity can look like in a modern, positive context.

Many boys and young men grow up influenced by a socio-culturally conditioned “code” of masculinity, and the way we frame conversations around this is crucial.

We want to wish Kaka good luck with his trials at Derby County tonight.

Mentoring doesn’t just stop at the centre, it’s supporting our young people with their dreams, hopes and ambitions.

for our mentor and young person this evening ⚽️

We’ve been working hard over the last few months creating a short film that explores important social issues and encourages adults and professionals to take a trauma-informed approach when working with young people.

It reminds us that behind challenging behaviours there are often hidden traumas and unseen struggles that many young people carry.

And that’s a wrap complete ✅

A massive well done to all the young people who have created the story, helped with production, and acted in this short film

You should all be proud of what you have achieved!!!

Yesterday, we took our amazing young people to TeamSport for an unforgettable go-karting experience!

It wasn’t just about racing, it was about confidence building, and strengthening relationships.

Opportunities like this play such an important role in developing resilience, trust, and self-belief.

A big Thankyou to TeamSport for hosting such a brilliant team-building experience! 🏁🚀

This morning, we had the opportunity to take two of our young people to the Warwickshire Justice Centre.

Which allowed them the chance to speak with a judge, and barrister about their roles and responsibilities.

Experiences like this are incredibly valuable in helping young people gain insight, broaden their understanding, and to gain extended knowledge

A huge thank you to Gemma Hathaway and Helen for making this opportunity possible.

Last Thursday, we were delighted to welcome Steadman Francis from the Coventry Family Health & Lifestyle Service to Coventry Boys and Girls Club.

It was lovely to have you in, speaking with our young people about the positive incentives Care for Kids has to offer.

Steadman shared valuable insight on health, wellbeing, and lifestyle choices, helping our young people build knowledge, confidence, and awareness as they make important life decisions.

A huge thank you to Steadman and the Coventry Family Health & Lifestyle Service for supporting our mentoring work and contributing to the positive development of young people in our community.

We look forward to continuing this partnership and creating more opportunities for education, growth, and empowerment.

Thankyou to Helen Kirkman from the VRP & John Kiely, for supporting our work with young people in the community.

By providing hot meals, we’re able to bring young people into a safe space instead of being out on the streets.

It really does make a difference!👏🏾

After 12 weeks of mentoring, and as a thank you for being such a positive young person, the dream of watching Man City play came true. Our mentor Hassan took one of our young people to see his team play for the first time - a great way to end the year!
