The wind nearly took my phone twice on Cheesewring this weekend. I probably should have taken the hint sooner.

We didn't all make it to the top —There's a roar through those stones I'd genuinely never heard before. Less like weather, more like something with something to say.

Back home, hail on the kitchen window, blanket, journal. My usual gateway: what if? What if the wind was speaking today — what would she say?

I am refusing to pretend I have the right words for this moment. And I am also refusing to sit in silence and ignore the fact that everything seems to be on fire right now.

One part of me is happily watching it burn, and the other is engulfed in the pain of humanity.

It sounds dramatic because it really is.

Having a voice of truth means it won’t always be perfect. Sometimes it will cause fear in others, other times your silence will be the trigger.

The modern world tells us that how we show up now is apparently how we’re being judged for the future, but I’m not exactly sure it works like that. Because there is no sitting on the fence here.

No matter how many avenues of divide and destruction we are witnessing, you are either for humanity or against it. And that isn’t always loud or online. Sometimes it’s sobbing quietly into your pillow. Other times it’s screaming at the top of a hill to let the pain move through your body, even though only you and the land that holds you can hear it.

I dropped a heart-thread for your ears, not as an offering of a solution, but as an invitation to acknowledge the uncomfortable.

I wish I had more time and words to tell you all the other stories I hold within my soul. Or maybe just another edit of those chapters that are most tender in my heart, but for now, that’s not how we roll. That ship has sailed, and the book has already begun to land in your hands.
