These were some of my favourite pieces to come out of the latest kiln firing π₯ I will always love slipped pottery and I like the look and feel of leaving the outside of a pot unglazed, giving a tactile experience while in use and exposing the beauty of the clay itself π€²

New mugs! I had fun making these, wheel thrown with pulled handles, speckled white and recycled glaze, brush detailing. Still not quite there with the handle pulling but I am getting closer and pleased with my improvement.

I had so much fun throwing all of these pots on the wheel, playing with impressing in found shells from the beach, applying a flowy slip detailing while still on the wheel and brushing on small details. I think it's so important to share that journeys in pottery are not always easy. I made these on a mini pottery wheel propped up on a box, sat on a secondhand wooden stool with a lamp shining down on the wheel head, in the middle of my small kitchen tucked away in the woods! I then packed them up in a cardboard box and travelled to the nearest town to fire them in a kiln π₯ I have often been made to feel I am not good enough to be in the world of pottery, and while I may not be the best and may not have the fanciest of tools, I think working with clay is about so much more, it's about the enjoyment and the mindfulness it can bring to people. So to anyone else who has felt this, keep on going, just by simply doing and refusing to give up something you enjoy, you are doing amazing!

Bowls made out of my first clay reclaim, with a recycled glaze. It's so nice to create pottery using reclaimed and recycled means and seeing it turn into this simple, earthy and humble pot is even more beautiful. There is great beauty in the simple.

Kick wheel πΊπ€ action shots --->
I had so much fun getting on the kick wheel and just seeing what I can do!.. And yes I am not wearing any shoes, so behold my rainbow socks π I found it much easier to work with the wheel this way π
