For us, this isn't just a badge to display on our website. It demonstrates that our systems, processes and controls have been independently assessed against a recognised cyber security standard, helping to ensure that the firms we support can have confidence that we take the protection of their data seriously.

A huge thank you to Andy C at Cloud Geeni Ltd, who provides our IT support.

Without Andy's expertise and guidance, we genuinely wouldn't know where to start. He was there every step of the way, helping us navigate the process and making sure everything was in place for a successful assessment.

I'd also like to thank Mitchell Munday at Cyber Trust, our independent assessor. Mitchell guided us through the process with professionalism, patience and a wealth of knowledge. What could have been a stressful exercise felt straightforward and manageable thanks to his support. He was always available to answer questions, explain requirements clearly and provide practical advice along the way.

Achieving Cyber Essentials Plus for the fifth consecutive year is something we're proud of, and it's only possible because of the support of trusted partners like Andy and Mitchell.

If you're looking for expert IT support or guidance through Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend both Cloud Geeni and Cyber Trust.

Thank you both for your support once again.

And lastly... thank you to all our staff members involved in the assessment this year ๐Ÿ˜, and to Dave Cruse (Outsourcing Specialist) for overseeing the process internally.

Most adviser firm and administrator relationships work brilliantly.

But very occasionally, they don't.

And I think it's important to be honest about that.

Not every administrator will be the right fit for every advice firm. Administrators, like advisers, all bring different experience, strengths, working styles and specialist knowledge. Whilst it is rare, sometimes a partnership simply doesn't feel right.

Equally, not every advice firm is the right fit for us.

Mutual respect is non-negotiable.

We are incredibly proud of our administrators and the work they do. If an advice firm is consistently disrespectful, unreasonable or unwilling to work collaboratively, that isn't a partnership we want to continue either.

Because successful outsourcing isn't just about skills and capacity.

It's about people.

That's why we've built flexibility into our model. Advice firms aren't tied into lengthy contracts or forced to use hours they've paid for upfront. They simply pay for the time they use.

Before moving forward, we encourage firms and administrators to have a conversation and get to know each other.
โœ“ Chemistry matters
โœ“ Communication matters
โœ“ The right fit matters

And if challenges arise, we don't believe in giving up at the first hurdle.

What do we do instead?
๐Ÿ”น Clarify expectations
๐Ÿ”น Improve communication
๐Ÿ”น Provide additional training where needed
๐Ÿ”น Offer guidance and mentoring
๐Ÿ”น Work with both parties to find a solution

Most of the time, that's all that's needed.

We also recognise that no working relationship is perfect from day one. Questions arise, processes evolve, businesses change and people adapt to new ways of working. That's normal.

The important thing is creating an environment where concerns can be raised openly and addressed constructively. In our experience, it's often the small issues, discussed early, that lead to the strongest long-term partnerships.

But if, after all of that, the relationship still isn't right, we won't force it.

If we do decide to part ways, we do so professionally and respectfully. A thorough handover is provided, knowledge is transferred properly, and we work to ensure a smooth transition for everyone involved.

We're not interested in winning contracts at all costs. We'd rather build partnerships that genuinely work for everyone involved.

Our goal has never been to tie people into arrangements they can't get out of. Our goal is to create successful, long-term relationships where both the advice firm and the administrator are valued, supported and happy.

Because when the fit is right, everyone benefits.

Have you ever found yourself locked into a business relationship that you knew wasn't the right fit, simply because the contract made it difficult to walk away?

Origo launches LoA consortium with four major providers 18/05/2026

They have launched an LOA consortium with four major providers:
โžก๏ธ Aviva
โžก๏ธ Legal & General
โžก๏ธ Royal London
โžก๏ธ Scottish Widows

The aim is for the providers to work together to help establish best practice around LOA processes and support greater digitisation across the industry. Something that has been needed for a long time.

This feels like a really positive step forward for adviser efficiency and consistency.

Really pleased to see how many firms are making use of the LOA Guide.

We had nearly 4,000 logins during April alone ๐Ÿคฏ

The guide was designed to make LOA submissions quicker and simpler by bringing key provider information together in one place, including:

โ€ข Provider contact details
โ€ข Telephone, email & postal addresses
โ€ข Direct links to forms and provider pages
โ€ข Plan/policy number format guidance
โ€ข Legacy provider information

Thank you so much to everyone using and supporting the guide โ€” we genuinely appreciate it.

If you regularly deal with LOAs and want to save time chasing provider information, feel free to get in touch.

Sunday is International Womenโ€™s Day, and it feels particularly relevant for us at Intuitive Support.

Our team is made up largely of women โ€” talented, experienced professionals who quietly keep a huge number of financial advice firms running smoothly behind the scenes every day.

They manage platforms, chase providers, untangle paperwork, keep advisers organised, and somehow still remain calm when faced with things like missing policy numbers, impossible provider phone queues, or โ€œjust a quick jobโ€ that turns into a three-hour investigation.

If you work in financial services administration, youโ€™ll know exactly what I mean.

What makes me proudest is the experience, professionalism and generosity within the team. The support they give not only to our clients, but to each other, is something quite special.

And while Sunday is about recognising women across all industries, I think itโ€™s also a good moment to acknowledge a group that doesnโ€™t always get the spotlight โ€” ๐˜๐—ต๐—ฒ ๐—ฎ๐—ฑ๐—บ๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ถ๐˜€๐˜๐—ฟ๐—ฎ๐˜๐—ผ๐—ฟ๐˜€!

So today, a very big thank you to the brilliant women in our team (and... the few brave men who keep up with them).

We appreciate you every day โ€” not just today.

Happy International Womenโ€™s Day. ๐Ÿ’—
