We would like to inform you that due to other commitments of our volunteers that we have made the sad decision to no longer run any further meetings.

However, Peter and Mary organise and run many activities at St Teresa's Church Hall. You would be very welcome to attend their Friendship Club and the many other activities that they offer.

Join us for our next get together on Tues 2nd December 1.30 - 3.00 pm at St Andrews Hall.
We will be chatting about all things Christmas, do you have any traditions, do you enjoy this time of year or not so much. Do you like to sing along to some Christmas tunes, if so, you are in luck, Peter will be bringing his guitar 🎄🎸
Look forward to seeing those of you who can come along and join in the conversation with a cuppa and some cake, refreshments are free.
This will be our last meeting of 2025.

Our first meeting of 2026 will take place on Tues Feb 3rd 1.00 - 3.00m

At out next get together on Tues 18th Nov 1.30 - 3.00 pm at St Andrews Hall, our Time to Talk topic will be WaterAid. Water is a thing we all take for granted, but WaterAid is an international not for profit organisation that strives to make clean water, decent toilets and good hygiene available for everyone, everywhere.
John Norton, one of our regulars, used to work for WaterAid giving talks and spreading the word about the work WaterAid does, he has kindly offered to tell us all about this great cause.

Our next get together will take place on Tues 4th Nov 1.30-3.00pm at St Andrews Hall.
John McCabe will be joining us to give, what is looking to be, a fantastic talk on Colchester during the war. Some of us have lived here for a while, others just for a short time, so to know a little bit more about Colchester and how it was affected and shaped by events during the war will be fascinating.

Come along have a cuppa and some cake, all provided free, we look forward to seeing you, everyone is welcome.

Joining us will be Mark Wood from the Korban Project, he will be telling us about how Colchester Korban Project is a Christian Charity that provides supported housing for young people who have found themselves in crisis. Korban was started by several churches as their response to youth homelessness in this area. More information in the link below:

Time to talk is back on Tues 2nd September at St Andrews Hall 1.30 - 3.00 pm.
On Tues we are welcoming Michael Siggs, who has great local history knowledge, and will be talking to us about Almshouses and Social care with local historic person of interest Eudo Dapifer being the centre of the topic, his statue resides on Colchester Town Hall. Eudo was an important figure in Norman Colchester times and played a significant part in the future of the town.

Looking forward to future meets we will be having talks on volunteering for Essex Wildlife Trust and Colchester during the war, as well as having informal chat meetings where any subject is a great way for us to chat and get to know each other.

Everyone is welcome to come along have a cuppa and enjoy a little bit of Time to Talk.
