We are looking for a freelance instructor with a minimum of BHS Stage 3 qualification (certificates will be required as well as valid first aid and DBS) to teach on Sunday’s from 10am - 4:30pm at a friendly riding school in Cobham, Surrey. This would be from the beginning of June.

Not the greatest start to 2026 for the Silvermere team 💔

In the early hours of this morning, we had to say goodbye to our one and only speed machine, Bounty. Our hearts are shattered and it has come as a huge shock to the whole team.

Yesterday (Friday 9th January), Bounty wasn’t too keen on his breakfast which is very unlike him!, he was lying down and was extremely quiet. The vet was called & came out to treat Bounty. He then looked a lot brighter and more himself but later on in the afternoon, Bounty started showing symptoms again and had to be rushed into Liphook equine hospital where he was treated and stayed in to be monitored.

Heartbreakingly, at around 4am this morning, Liphook had to make the call to put Bounty to sleep as he had deteriorated drastically 💔💔.

Bounty was known for his typical Welsh ways and incredibly zoomy jumping skills!!! You would often see him and his sharer, Megan flying around the clear round! (Blink and you would have missed them!). Although a speed machine, he could also take on our tiny riders in the lead rein lessons. He adored a cuddle, he would rest his head on your shoulder and have a snooze. He truly was one of a kind and there will never ever be another Bounty.

The whole team is in shock and devestated & would appreciate the time to grieve.

Rest peacefully Bounty, you will never be forgotten 💔

Attention ‼️‼️‼️‼️ The weather is still not on our side, after last nights rain and dropping to freezing temperatures afterwards we were left with a bit of an ice rink 🧊⛸️.

We cancelled this morning and waited to see if it would thaw out but sadly the sun was not on our side.

We are now making amendments to this evenings lessons so please check your emails to see if your lesson has been cancelled or changed.

Now if we could cross our fingers for some warmer weather !! ☀️☀️☀️☀️
