🚐 We have some exciting news... CDC now has our very own minibus! 🎉

This is a huge milestone for our charity and one that will transform the way we support children, young people and families across our communities.

A massive thank you to Spire Infant & Junior School for giving us the opportunity to acquire this fantastic vehicle. Your support will make a real difference to so many lives.

Owning our own minibus opens so many doors. It means we can offer more trips, reach more communities, remove transport barriers, expand our outreach work and create even more opportunities for the children and young people we support. We can even hire it out... More to come on this

Monday 27 July, our new minibus completed its maiden voyage as we took 12 children on an adventure to Sherwood Forest. It was a fantastic day filled with exploration, teamwork, new skills and plenty of smiles. Seeing the bus out doing exactly what it was bought for made all the hard work worthwhile.

This is just the beginning. We can't wait to see where the road takes us next and the memories we'll create along the way.

Thank you to everyone who continues to believe in and support us. Together, we're opening new doors and creating lasting opportunities every single day. 💙

🚨 COMMUNITY CALL-OUT – CAN YOU HELP US? 🚨

We’re reaching out to our amazing community and local businesses for a little help. 💙

As our activities have grown, so has the amount of equipment we need to transport! From camping equipment and activity resources to gazebos, tables and everything else that goes into delivering our community programmes, our current box trailer simply isn’t big enough anymore.

Unfortunately, after packing away from our latest camping activities, the side of our current trailer has also broken. 😢

We are now desperately in need of a larger enclosed box trailer to help us safely transport our equipment to activities, trips and community events.

So, we’re putting out a call:

🔹 Could a local business sponsor a new or used box trailer for us?
🔹 Does anyone have a larger box trailer they no longer use and would consider donating to the charity?
🔹 Could a trailer company or local business help us source one at a significantly reduced cost?
🔹 Or perhaps you know somebody who could help?

A trailer might not sound like the most exciting thing to fund, but for us it would make a massive difference. It would allow us to get the equipment we need out into communities and continue providing activities and opportunities for local children, young people and families.

For a business able to sponsor a trailer, we would be more than happy to recognise your support and discuss having “Trailer kindly sponsored by…” displayed on it alongside our CDC branding. 💙

We know this is a big ask, but sometimes you just have to ask!

📅 Sessions run from 27th July – 28th August and spaces are limited, so make sure to book early to secure your child’s place.
🎭 Stage Stars: Please ensure you book both days, as the sessions are a continuation of one another.
🚸 Please note: Parents/carers are NOT permitted to stay during any HAF activities. Unless this has been previously agreed with senior staff. Our staff will supervise children throughout each session until collection.
