Sam’s Guitars JAX
Rafael lit up the stage this month with an absolutely killer rendition of Joe Satriani’s Summer Song. From the first riff to that jaw-dropping solo, his playing was on point and packed with energy.
And this was no simple cover! This was a masterclass in guitar playing. Pure energy, pure passion, pure Open String Night.

Earlier this month at Open String Night, we witnessed the triumphant return of Sam. This time with his partner-in-tone, Keenan. Sam had already blown us away in the past with his spellbinding fingerstyle acoustic sets, but this night, he cranked things up a notch. Armed with electrics, he and Keenan locked in and unleashed a storm of raw, blues-soaked riffs, trading licks and riding that 12-bar groove like seasoned pros.
This is what Open String Night is all about ....guitarists colliding, creating, and summoning pure magic right there on the stage.
Absolute fire. Top stuff!!!

Unfortunately, there’s no video from our last Open String Night ..... mainly because I'm pathetic with technology
But fear not! When I fail, legends rise! The ever-dependable iDreamofPiesPhotography once again swept in like the superhero of the Chester music scene...armed not with a cape, but with a camera lens so powerful it could probably see into next week.
Heres some superb snaps making us all look far cooler than we actually are.

Oscar didn’t just play guitar at this month’s Open String Night, he summoned the gods of shred!
Tearing through Far Beyond The Sun by Yngwie Malmsteen, he unleashed a sonic hurricane of lightning-fast licks .... melting fretboards and faces alike.
Im pretty sure his fingers officially broke the sound barrier on this one?
It was less a performance, more a battle cry of pure metal fury 🤘
.. as I edited this video, Oscar is playing so fast, I’m pretty sure my Wi-Fi got an upgrade?
