Have you seen what companies are doing?
You may have noticed lately a lot of companies have chosen to 'de-brand' their logos, and opted for a more simpler, cleaner look, in comparison to their previous detailed and deep depth designs.
In a day and age we're living in now, with graphics being almost life-like, and resolutions on the verge of being as crisp as the human eye, why would they do this?
The answer is more than likely right in front of you. Yes, there is the need for creating a more consumer-centric vibe, or cutting back on advertising costs, but the primary factor behind this recent surge in de-branding is what we're viewing our content on.
Mobile-first designs are becoming increasingly popular, with around 2/3rds of consumers now viewing content on their mobile phone devices, rather than laptop and desktop computers. This has, and will continue to, put pressure on companies to consolidate their identity into a tinier space, and make their branding more viewable on smaller screens.
So, I felt I should jump on the bandwagon sooner than later and do a semi-debrand of my logo... Voilà!

First new client this week is a local skate shop, Skate Factory. A family business with decades of experience operating out of Gloucester and online. They specialise in quad skates but also have blades and skateboards. What makes them so special is they pay homage to the skate shops of the past, with a physical store you can visit and test the gear, plus they also have a workshop where you can get repairs. The shop has a real cool vibe to it too! Definitely get down there and check it out.
Second new client this week is for Amazon. Not too many details to share here, but the task is to set up his store, research profitable products, get them listed and have those listings fully optimised. I am dealing with the latter part whereas the management aspect is being dealt with a partner who is vastly experienced in that area.
